Italian Cheese Stuffed Pork Chops

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2010
wow sooo flavourful! Quick and easy!! tiny changes.. i omitted the bread crumbs entirely. i bought butterfly sliced bone less chops. mixed the cheese and fresh parsley together and sprinkled the mixture on each chop and then closed them up like a sandwich. then i patted one side of each chop with the paprika, salt, pepper mix (but also added 1tsp of italian dried herbs). amazing!! my husband just said that they are the best pork chops he's ever had! served with rice and a salad.

Candy Cane Cookies III

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2005
These were very yummy and fun to make as a family. The only thing that I would change in the future is the candy cane pieces on top. They don't stick very well and it made a huge mess. They do definitely add to the cookie's flavor though, so I think I'll try what a previous reviewer suggested, adding the candy cane pieces to the red dough and just adding sugar to the top. The cookie is definitely a keeper though.

Pumpkin Cookies with Penuche Frosting

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2005
This recipe was only ok. They tasted more like a spice cookie. The pumpkin wasn't very strong at all. They were very soft though. The frosting was also just ok. It tasted just like a hard coat of sugar on top. I made the mistake of making the frosting before I was done baking all of the cookies. The frosting hardens very quickly once removed from heat, and you can't spread it on the cookies. I did just reheat it and that made it smooth again for a short time, but I had barely finished frosting the cookies before it had completely hardened again.

Clone of a Cinnabon

Reviewed: Jan. 3, 2005
These cinnamon rolls are divine. My in-laws were over when I made them, and the first thing that my father in-law said was that they reminded him of being in an airport eating cinnabon cinnamon rolls. I smiled and told him the name of the recipe. I actually used regular flour and margarine and I didn't regret it because they still tasted wonderful. I had contemplated doubling the icing, (as one of the reviewers recommended) but I'm glad that I didn't because there was plenty of icing and we didn't even use it all. They were also just as wonderful the next day heated up in the microwave!

Angel Hair with Feta and Sun-Dried Tomatoes

Reviewed: Nov. 9, 2004
there was way too much pasta! It turned out pretty dry. Although, there is definite potential here. Maybe a little less pasta, or more oil. It was very flavorful and if I messed around with the recipe, like a lot of the reviewers have, I'm sure it would turn out much better. As the recipe is now it's only 3 stars, it was just way dry.

Tofu and Cheese Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2004
I'm giving this 3 stars becasue it was just ok. I followed the recipe exactly and it was just missing something. I wasn't too fond of the sauce, I'm sure that it would be much better with a different sauce. Seems like most who gave this 5 stars used their own sauce or a store bought sauce.

Romanian Apple Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2004
I was recently given a bunch of apples and have been searching for recipes to use these apples up. I had never had romanian apple cake before so I'm not sure if this is what it's supposed to tast like, but I didn't care much for this recipe.

Broccoli Cheese Soup III

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2004
My husband and I liked this recipe, it was so quick and easy. Unfortunatley my girls barely touched it, which means that we most likely won't make it again. I do have to agree with a prior reviewer that you can taste the cream of celery soup in it, but I happen to like cream of celery so I thought it was yummy. It is a dominant flavor though.

Award Winning Peaches and Cream Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 7, 2004
This recipe was ok. It was simple and it tasted fine, but I was expecting alot more because of some of the reviews. It's definitely not a pie. I served it to some guests and they said they liked it, but no one took seconds. My family didn't even eat the left overs, I wound up finishing it off. I won't be making this again.

Garden Herb Loaf

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2004
I can't really say any different than what the other reviewers already have. It was my first time making bread, outside of a bread machine. It was easy. It really wasnt very time consuming (the longest part was waiting for it to rise), and it looks beautiful and tastes wonderful.

Potato Cheese Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2004
This was very good. I actually just put it in my slow cooker so that I could get other things done and not worry about it. Once it started boiling I just turned it down to low, mashed slightly (like the directions stated), added the milk and other ingredients and came back to it later when I was ready to serve it. The only thing I will change, is the amount of pepper. I love pepper, but it seemed a little spicy. So next time I'll just half the amount and then add according to my liking.

Cheese Ravioli with Fresh Tomato and Artichoke Sauce

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2004
This turned out very yummy. The best part was that it took so little time to prepare. The store I was at, only had the larger size jar of artichoke hearts, which turned out to be a good thing. I used almost all of the jar and next time will just use the whole jar (and I did use a previous reviewers comment to cut up the artichoke pieces some).

Hot and Spicy Tofu

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
I was so disappointed. There's nothing worse then spending an hour on something to have it turn out lousy, and I followed the recipe exactly. I didn't like it, the vinegar was way to obvious in it, and it didn't come close to the yummy dish you would get at a restaurant.

Raspberry Sour Cream Pie

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
This sounded so yummy, but the finished product was average. My family each had a slice and the rest has been sitting in the fridge for a week. It was a little too sour.

Herbed Green Bean Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 15, 2004
This was NOT good. The first time I made it using the quick version noted at the bottom. It turned out way too salty and wasn't edible. I tried the recipe once more, following the directions exactly and I still didn't really like it. It's edible, but I am boggled as to why it has gotten such good ratings.

Pesto Cream Sauce

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2004
Absolutely delicious! I made the recipe almost exactly, I just left out the mushrooms. It was so yummy, my husband mentioned that it was just like at the restaurant, and even my 6 year old who is incredibly picky kept going on and on about how yummy it was. Definitely a keeper.

Veggie Pot Pie

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2004
This was so wonderful! I used a pillsbury refrigerated double crust, subbed brocolli for cauliflower, and didn't use the mushrooms. I halved the amount of veggies (to make sure it would all fit in my pie dish), but didn't change a thing with the base. I also added an extra TBS of corn starch like other reviewers have advised. The base is so yummy..it turned out perfect. Even my picky 6 year old LOVED it!
