My favorite things to cook
if you can describe the dish as quick, easy, healthy, and delicious... then it's a keeper! i also really love slow cooker meals that are healthy and delicious too; can't beat the way that the savoury aroma always fills my entire house!!

Candy Cane Cookies III
These were very yummy and fun to make as a family. The only thing that I would change in the future is the candy cane pieces on top. They don't stick very well and it made a huge mess. They do definitely add to the cookie's flavor though, so I think I'll try what a previous reviewer suggested, adding the candy cane pieces to the red dough and just adding sugar to the top. The cookie is definitely a keeper though.

Pumpkin Cookies with Penuche Frosting
This recipe was only ok. They tasted more like a spice cookie. The pumpkin wasn't very strong at all. They were very soft though. The frosting was also just ok. It tasted just like a hard coat of sugar on top. I made the mistake of making the frosting before I was done baking all of the cookies. The frosting hardens very quickly once removed from heat, and you can't spread it on the cookies. I did just reheat it and that made it smooth again for a short time, but I had barely finished frosting the cookies before it had completely hardened again.

Clone of a Cinnabon
These cinnamon rolls are divine. My in-laws were over when I made them, and the first thing that my father in-law said was that they reminded him of being in an airport eating cinnabon cinnamon rolls. I smiled and told him the name of the recipe. I actually used regular flour and margarine and I didn't regret it because they still tasted wonderful. I had contemplated doubling the icing, (as one of the reviewers recommended) but I'm glad that I didn't because there was plenty of icing and we didn't even use it all. They were also just as wonderful the next day heated up in the microwave!
