About this Cook
I love cooking for my mother and myself. I bake a lot more often than I cook, except for oatmeal. I also prefer healthy recipes and/or omit unhealthy ingredients. I also love to watch anime and listen to Japanese music (that's all I'll say about that though...) ALSO! As an update on March 5, 2014- I'm officially a vegan! Please note: any vegetarian recipes I've uploaded so far can easily be made vegan through the following substitutions: Equal amounts almondmilk for milk Equal amounts vegan soy cheeze for cheese Equal amounts oil for butter For egg in cakes, muffins, and cookies, and "meat" reciprd use ground flax seed and water, whipped For egg in bread and "airy" texture recipes use half baking soda half vinegar You can also test with equal amounts silken tofu, but I haven't tested that yet.

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies
Amazing and easy recipe!! I screwed with it entirely, admittedly. It seems to be not-so-easy to mess up though. I added some extra brown sugar and chocolate chips. I also baked them for about 6 minutes with both batches in at the same time, then moved the bottom batch to the top rack and the top to the bottom rack and baked for another 6. Afterwards they weren't as brown as I liked so I allowed them to cool in the oven with the door closed. After around 5 minutes I took them out. They were best when eaten warm. I agree with SAWASEWA, they did get hard after they cooled completely, however the middle remained chewy. Great recipe and nice to be able to call something truly homemade >w

Tofu Lasagna
Just made this recipe. It was actually the first time I've ever made lasagna! Fabulous!! I changed it a tiny bit, like everyone else. I omitted the milk(just because it seemed kinda out of place, and I wanted to avoid the cheese and sauce mixture from becoming to watery), added a cup of boiled spinach, a couple of seasonings, extra mozarella,and extra sauce for on top, since there wasn't enough for the final layer. Perfect for meatless lasagna with a lot of protein!!

Gingerbread Cookies
Lol sounds like a delicious recipe, I just hopw everyone reads the entire recipe before beginning, because you really don't have to preheat the oven two hours early.
