Broccoli Turkey Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2005
This was terrible. I made it as stated on recipe since I forgot to read reviews first. It was dry and tasteless. We added a can of cream of mushroom soup and some milk to it just so we could use it. It still was not good. WILL NOT MAKE AGAIN!

Mustard Vinaigrette

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2005
This dressing was spectacular. Since I have kids I did use about half the pepper and only one clove of garlic. My whole family loved it. It is something other than the usual boring dressings available in the store. My three year old couldn't get enough of it. I will make it again and again and again!

Fancy Brownies

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
I didn't think the brownie part of this recipe was that great. I would have preferred to substitute even a boxed brownie mix then added the "extras" like rolos, toffee bits and chocolate chips. It was just ok for us.

Easy Lemon Cake

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2007
I would make this again. I didn't have and lemon extract so I substituted the juice of one lemon and added a bit of grated lemon rind to the cake mix. It turned out very moist and lemony! I would make this again.

Impossible French Apple Pie

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2009
This was just so-so. I followed the directions exactly. The crumb topping needed more flavor. The "biscuit mix" part of the pie was flavorless. I was going to give it 2 stars but decided on 3 since my 7 y/o daughter liked it. But she likes everything dessert-like. I would keep looking for a better apple dessert if I were you.

Butternut Squash Supreme

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2009
Wow. What a great side to try on Christmas day! I followed the directions exactly. We loved it. My husband (Culinary Instute of America graduate) loved it. My 15 y/o daughter loved it. Maybe I would recommend cooking the onions a little ahead of time to soften them/maybe not. We did not find it bland at all. Would NEVER add poultry seasoning as someone else suggested! I will make this again next week as I have 3 more butternut squash to use up.

Very good. Seems to be pretty failproof. I will definitely save this and make again!

Beer-Batter Onion Rings

Reviewed: Jun. 26, 2010
We loved these. My husband added baking powder, garlic powder, season salt and chili powder to kick it up a bit. Very nice batter...stayed on the onion and not all throughout my grease. Will use this recipe every time we make onion rings.

Peanut Butter Cupcakes

Reviewed: Mar. 6, 2011
I thought these were just ok. They were bland. Noting to write home about. I will look for another recipe if I want to make peanut butter cupcakes again.

Suki's Spinach and Feta Pasta

Reviewed: Mar. 23, 2011
Very good recipe! We added a little flour to the onion/garlic/olive oil mixture after it browned and then a little white cooking wine. We might try using sweet basil instead of the spinach next time just for variety. My two kids (ages 16 and 9) really liked it also.

Buffet Scrambled Eggs

Reviewed: Aug. 1, 2011
We thought these were wonderful! So creamy and rich! I used chicken base instead of bouillon. Chicken base does not have salt as main ingredient but has chicken as main ingredient. Chicken base is sold in the grocery store near the bouillon. I will make these "gourmet eggs" again!
