Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2004
These were pretty easy (but a bit time consuimg) to make. They were a pretty big hit too, alot of people suggested dipping it in chocolate instead of the caramel.

BUSH'S® Baja Rice & Beans

Reviewed: Jul. 1, 2004
I was not that crazy about this recipie. I would suggest a little less on the chicken broth and using it more as a salsa type w/nachos.

Mom's Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2004
The dough was really thick, so it was sort of difficult to mix. My sweet lovers friends did not care for them; saying they were a little bland. Other people (who liked a more simple taste) loved them. They are very different from regular cc cookies, very cake like. They do not get crispy at all. Pretty good, but not what I really expected.

Jacky's Fruit and Yogurt Muffins

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2004
This recipe is SO FUN!!!! I have found that the best way to get a crunchy top is to use the custard style yogurt. My favorite way I have made this recipe is the use banana strawberry yogurt with a half cup sunflower seeds, half cup dried mixed fruit, half cup chopped almonds and hald cup milk chocolate chips (ok, maybe a little extra on the chips!!). I also added just a little milk and brown sugar. These muffins are AWESOME!! I am craving them right now thinking about it.

Super Duper Zucchini Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2004
This was a great recipe! I ran out of brown sugar so I cooked the muffins and after they came out of the oven I dipped the top in some melted butter and rolled it in a cinnamon & sugar mixture. Super light and fluffy. Also, I did not add any nuts and just used regular milk. I did use extra cinnamon and nutmeg as others suggested...will FOR SURE make again!

Cheesy Stuffed Shells

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2005
I thought that this was going to turn out MUCH better than it did...I was a bit disappointed. I suggest using a very thick sauce with it, this could have been part of my problem. It was just missing a little "something" I thought. For the time it took it was not all that impressive...

Jean's Homemade Chicken Noodle Soup

Reviewed: Sep. 22, 2005
I made this for my boyfriend when he was sick and took it over to his house and he and his 2 roomates had seconds (the one roomate came up from downstairs to see what smelled so good)!!! I did revise this a bit...I started by boiling a cornish hen in water w/the chopped up ginger root. While it boiled, I let the broth, water, veggies and spices simmer...I added rosemary, minced garlic, basil, alot of parsley and a touch of onion powder...it would have been REALLY bland w/o it. I took the advice of another user and proceeded to add some of the water from my boiled chicken/ginger to the mix (my boyfriend likes extra broth for his crackers)and extra noodles. I will for sure make this again...!!!

I made this for my "fiesta" themed dinner party...it was a huge hit and it was light enough to eat after a big mexican dinner. This also tasted really good warmed up the next day too...

Key Lime Cheesecake II

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2005
I made this for V-day and my boyfriend LOVED it...so did not family and co workers when I brought in the leftovers the next day. Like others, i did not add the FULL amount of key lime since I am not too keen on very tart stuff and it turned out great...!!!

Sausage Spinach Alfredo Lasagna

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
This was ok...I am not sure what overwhelmed me about it. I think I would skip the cheddar (and only use 1 cup as suggested by others) and just do the mozzerella instead. I also added a minced clove of garlic to my sausage...yummy. This is for SURE a filling meal!!!

Best Big, Fat, Chewy Chocolate Chip Cookie

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2005
I LOVE THIS RECIPE!!!! It was sooo easy and the cookies turned out PERFECT!!! The were just the right combo of chewy/soft/crunchy!!! I will never need to look for another chocolate chip cookie recipe again! I did do something a bit different though...I doubled the recipe but only added 2 STICKS of butter...if you like more of a soft/chewy cookie this is the way to do it...whenever I go to parties people think that I bought the cookies from Mrs. Fields...having double the cookies is never a problem either!!!

Chicken Pesto a la Lisa

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2006
This turned out great, but only got 4 starts becuase I did some touchups...ok, first I marinated 4 chicken breast overnight in chicken broth, a bit of olive oil, garlic, basil and black pepper (the chicken came out really tender). I did not use the sun dried tomatoes...which I do not think you need at all. The other change I made to this was instead of the feta cheese I added 3/4 cups of a shredded mix of Asiago, Parmesean, Provolone and Mozzerella cheese...soooo yummy!!!! The leftovers were really great the next day too...!!!!

Soft and Chewy Peanut Butter Cookies

These turned out pretty well...nice and chewy. I did have to add more flour than the 2 cups. I also added a bag of the Nestle milk chocolate/peanut butter swirl chips to it. These were a big hit...

Cheesy Enchiladas

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2006
This is a great "go to" recipe...I did revise things a bit though. Instead of salsa I used red enchilada sauce (you can get it in a can for 70 cents at the store) and put black beans across the top of the enchiladas before baking. This is a VERY filling meal!!! *Additional review from last post on 7/2004* I still use this recipe, but have made more adjustments. First, I boil some chicken breasts in salsa, chicken broth, cumin and chili powder then shread and add to the enchiladas. Additionally, when I want to add some "kick" to the meal I will throw in a can of diced chile's to the cream cheese mixture. :)

Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2006
This was great, super easy and tasted wonderful...and it looks pretty too. I bought some milk chocolate chip chunks and scattered them over the top. I also used a little less than the whole can of condensed milk per the advice of other users.

Cheesy Zucchini Dip

This was really good! Now, when it is complete it does not look like the prettiest dip but I spread it over some club crackers and it was great! I even forgot to add the salt and pepper and it was still good.
