Quick Savory Cranberry Glazed Pork Loin Roast

Reviewed: Nov. 11, 2012
I thought the sauce was very tasty! The zip of the mustard and horseradish balanced the sweetness of the other ingredients nicely. I was happy that I put foil in the pan - it would have been a nightmare to clean up, otherwise.

Harvest Rice Dish

Reviewed: May 27, 2009
Delish! I used one onion and sliced it thinly instead of cutting into wedges, I browned the almonds in the butter along with the veggies and I reduced the butter to a tablespoon - otherwise I followed the recipe to a "T". It went well with a roasted pork tenderloin and grilled asparagus.

Best Cream Of Broccoli Soup

Reviewed: May 5, 2009
Great soup! I made it as written - used my immersion blender to puree the soup but left some chunky bits for texture and interest. YUMMY!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2009
I have brought this to two different parties now and everyone loves it. I don't drain the chiles and I use light cream cheese and mayo. I do bake it in the oven topped with a cheese and breadcrumb mixture, as was suggested. Served it with sliced baguette.

Crunchy Romaine Toss

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2009
I thought this was a nice change of pace - I did blanch the broccoli and I added diced red peppers for colour. I used almonds and toasted them along with the ramen.

Tangy Buttermilk Cheese Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2009
I am a novice bread maker and I had great results with this recipe. The only change I made was to add the cheese toward the end of the kneading cycle in the bread machine - this left veins of cheese in the dough. I cut a slit along the top of the bread before baking and sprinkled some cheese on top. It turned out to be a beautiful, professional-looking loaf.

Asparagus Lasagna

Reviewed: Apr. 24, 2009
The first time I made this recipe, I tried it as a lasagna and I didn't have much luck. It tasted great but it didn't seem to have enough substance to hold it together - it may have been better with a ricotta layer as others have tried. The next time I had leftover ham I tried it again, with the following changes (based on some suggestions from previous reviewers): I made the roux as directed, but I did increase the quantities a bit and use white wine for some of the liquid - then I stirred in the grated cheese as you would when making a cheese sauce. Tossed it with cooked shell pasta, chopped steamed asparagus and diced ham - put in a casserole dish, topped with some grated mozzarella and parm and baked until bubbly. It was dee-lish! Thanks for a great idea!

Southwest Pork and Bean Salad

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2009
A great and tasty recipe to use up leftover pork. I made it twice out of the same leftover tenderloin - the only change I made was to use black beans because that's what I had on hand. We ate it in whole wheat tortillas. Yum!
