Pumpkin Pancakes

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2011
These are very good. I did have to add more milk though to get them to spread out more on the griddle because they were too thick and the first ones didn't get cooked through all the way. More milk helped with this.

Chocolate Wave Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2009
I give this 4.5 stars. It has great taste and moistness. Next time I would put parchment paper on the bottom of my loaf pans though as someone else sugessted-I did put quite a bit of shortening on the bottom, but it still got a little hard and almost rubbery. As long as you cut that off the rest is wonderful. Also I doubled the recipe and used 1/2 white sugar an 1/2 brown, used 1/2 applesauce 1/2 shortening for the fat content and because my EXTRA large zuccini had alot of juice in it I did not have to use the water at all so I would suggest watching that-if I had added the water it would have been way too watery a batter. Thank you Lisa for the recipe, it is one my whole family said to keep and remake.

Crunch Bar

Reviewed: Apr. 26, 2005
This is an awesome quick and EASY treat to make anytime!! Everyone who tried them asked for the recipe. I will probably make a little more of the brown sugar/butter mixture(1/2 cup extra of both) to put over the top so it's more evenly covered next time. I use 1 1/2 sleeves of crackers too. Also put them in the fridge for an hour before breaking them apart. I used crushed pecans instead of walnuts. Thank you for this great recipe!!

Crispy Rice Cereal Balls

Reviewed: Jan. 16, 2005
4+. These are great! My 5 yr old helped me and could almost do the whole thing herself, which is really nice to find recipes that kids can make. She loved eating them too. The only thing I would like to point out about the recipe to others trying it,it says it makes 24, so I tripled it because I needed more, and I got 82 that are 1-1 1/2 inches wide. Not that I mind having more than I needed..:)just wanted people to know it makes quite a bit.

Mocha Blanca Cheesecake

Reviewed: Jan. 2, 2005
This is awesome cheesecake!! The best cheesecake I've ever made-and I've made a few. It will defintely be made many more times. Tip for those lactose intolerant. I replaced the cream cheese w/Better Than Cream Cheese(soy product)and no one ever knew.(I've done this before and no one knows the difference. It sounds kind of gross, but it is very good, especially w/ chocolate!). There is also Sour Supreme Better Than Sour Cream you can use for the topping if you want. But like others, I left it off. Thank you for the recipe Elizabeth!!

Mocha Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2004
Very good. Did add more (3T) of coffee granules than called for, but still couldn't taste it as much as I'd like-banana kinda overpowers it. So next time I'll just use more coffee or leave the bananas out. Coffee dissolves just fine if you use very hot water. Also I followed others' advice and only used 1 cup of sugar and for fat only used 1/4 cup margarine and 3/4 cup applesauce-worked great and they were plenty sweet.

Pumpkin Cookies with Penuche Frosting

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2004
OH MY GOSH!!! THESE ARE AWESOME!!! THERE SHOULD BE 6 STARS FOR THIS ONE!!! I ate 1 before they were even cooled and it melted in my mouth. No need for the frosting even. I added chocolate chips because they are for my daughter's school Halloween party(if there are any left-hee hee), but the next time I make them I will leave them out so the pumpkin flavor comes out even more. Thank you so much for this recipe. They will be made many many times in the future in our home, I'm sure.

Banana Bread V

Reviewed: Sep. 19, 2004
I've been looking for and trying many banana bread recipes, this one is definitely staying in my favorites area. I also added the vanilla and cinnamon and used brown and white sugars. I made muffins and they were awesome. My 5 year old said "I can't stop smelling it Momma!"

Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2004
Like some of the other bakers, I used 1 cup of milk and added some vanilla and apple juice as one other, I also added 1 1/2 cups fresh cherries. I did need to increase the bake time to about 27-28 minutes but the moisture was just right due to the cherries and apple juice. They were very yummy!!
