Lick Your Lips Cake

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2007
My family didn't care for this very much. We did like the NAME of the cake...and really like the icing. I will be using the icing on other cakes. UPDATE: Since my last review I found another cake very similar to this recipe that added 1 cup of crushed pineapple to the cake mix. This made the cake very moist and yummy. My family all went back for seconds with this simple addition!!

Chicken Hurry

Reviewed: Sep. 7, 2006
I LOVED this recipe!! I would give it 10 stars if I could. I wish I had thought to add onions to the bottom of the pan, as Melissa suggested. Will do that next time. I doubled the ketchup, water and brown sugar; but used only one package of onion soup mix. and the sauce was wonderful on mashed potatoes. Only problem was we ran out of sauce before potatoes; so I will make more sauce next time!

Perfect Scrambled Eggs

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2011
Instead of milk, I added a little water, salt, pepper, garlic powder and onion powder. And I don't 'stir constantly' - I let them cook a little, stir a little, cook a little, stir a little until they are done. I think stirring too much makes them mushy!

Cheesy Catfish

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2007
This recipe has been changed so much, it doesn't seem like the original at all. I used catfish nuggets, dispensed with the egg, milk and melted butter. Used butter-flavored Pam on a cookie sheet. Sprinkled the fish with seasoned salt, let it sit about 15 min. Used 2 parts Italian bread crumbs, 1 part Parmesan cheese and a little more seasoned salt & garlic powder for the coating. Increased oven temp to 375° and baked for 25 min. No mushy fish; it was crisp and delicious! I will definitly be making this again.

Quick Tomato Sandwich

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2011
I have been eating tomato sandwiches for many years. I tried this mayo/ketchup combo and it just didn't work for me. I will stick with plain mayo. I often will put sliced cucumber on the sandwich too. Doubly good!!

Beef and Potato Nacho Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 20, 2009
I usually follow the recipe the first time I make a new dish. But I did add more taco seasoning and the beans to the meat. I also doubled the soup mixture; but it was too 'soupy' in my opinion. Next time I will use 2 cans of soup and the original amount of milk. My adult kids really liked it but the little ones didn't care for it.

New England Dinner

Reviewed: Aug. 22, 2008
I've been making this dish for years; but I always add onion and carrots. Also I cook it on top of the stove; never in the oven.
