Italian Love Cake
My husband had a modified version of this cake at an office party and wanted me to make it the same way. I used a marble cake mix, vanilla pudding and whipping cream instead of cool whip. Definitely wait at least 24 hours before eating to let the ricotta settle and soak into the cake. Its a very moist, decadent cake that would be great for any occasion. Next time I'll be using chocolate!

Fudge Bonbons
I made mine a little too big and they did look like reindeer poop. I used Almond kisses, caramel and plain. The caramel bled out during baking so I do not recommend using those. These were just OK so I don't know if I would go thru all the effort to make again.

Italian Spaghetti Sauce with Meatballs
I started this after 7 on a week night so I had to take a few shortcuts. I followed the recipe up to and including the onions and garlic and then for the sauce I used a jar of marinara, a can of tomato sauce and a can of diced tomatoes. I also added 2 tblsp of italian seasoning then added the meatballs and simmered for about 45 minutes. This was very flavorful and my husband loved it. I was put off by adding the raw meatballs to the sauce but its so good so I will be doing that from now on. Next time I will do it the long way....on a weekend!
