Easy Alfredo Sauce I

Reviewed: Jul. 23, 2004
This is a great base for an alfredo sauce but in order for it to be complete, you need to add garlic powder (which helps keep the creamy consistency better than fresh), white pepper, and about five drops of tabasco sauce. Yum.

Chicken Cordon Bleu I

Reviewed: Jul. 31, 2004
To add more flavor to this recipe, beat one egg with about a tsp. dijon mustard. Dip the rolled chicken breasts in the egg mixture before rolling in the breadcrumbs.

Famous Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 19, 2004
These chops were excellent and very moist. Before dipping in the egg, I seasoned mine with Lawry's, garlic and onion powders. I also layered the bottom of the pan with sliced onion which added a lot of flavor. However if you do that, I recommend uncovering the chops for the last 20 minutes and then broiling for a crispy coating.

Chicken David

Reviewed: Nov. 10, 2004
As I sit here typing, I am eating leftovers of this fantastic dish. This was the best chicken recipe I had used in a long time. I did leave out the sherry because I didn't have any but even without it was superb. I also have to disagree with some of the other reviews: There definitely need to be more orange foods!

Chris' Bay Area Burger

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2004
This is definitely a 5 star recipe. I don't think you could get these burgers to dry out even if you were trying. They are incredibly juicy and the basil gives them an awesome flavor. Thanks Chris!

Baked Macaroni with Pepperoni

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2004
I didn't care for this recipe. I followed other reviews and cut down on the tomato paste and added canned tomatoes but it still came out rather dry. I also found it to be bland even with all the additional spices I added. This might be a good recipe for kids.

I made these and told my boyfriend that he better enjoy them because I like them so much that I will never use another mashed potato recipe.

Fettucine Carbonara

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2004
My very picky boyfriend loved this dish but next time I will add some onion and seasonings because I found it to be rather bland. It did have a very nice texture and with a little doctoring it will be worthwhile to make again.

Gourmet Meatloaf

Reviewed: Dec. 14, 2004
This meatloaf was fantastic. My fiance who is a very picky eater said it was the best meatloaf he had ever eaten. I did add fifteen minutes to the cooking time but my oven may be a little off.

Chicken Bog

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
This recipe was so good and so easy. The only things I changed were adding one boullion cube while the chicken was boiling and halfing the italian seasoning. Thanks Holly for this great recipe.

I brought this to a Superbowl party and it was scooped up before any of the other appetizers. Everyone complimented me on it so thanks for the great recipe!

Sausage Balls

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2005
I didn't think these were very good but everyone else seemed to like them so maybe it was just me. My dad used to make sausage balls all the time but his weren't quite so doughy. Thanks anyway...I guess I will just have to keep looking for a recipe I like.

Cheesy Brat Stew for the Slow Cooker

Reviewed: Feb. 18, 2005
This was easy to make and very tasty but it was incredibly rich. My boyfriend and I could only eat a little bit. The next day when I warmed it I added more water and a can of evaporated milk to cut down on the thickness and that helped a lot. I will make this again but I will remember to thin it a bit. EDIT: I made this again with quite a few changes and it was delicious. I browned the potatoes, kielbasa, half a chopped onion, a green pepper and a teaspoon of minced garlic before throwing everything in the crockpot. I added enough homemade chicken stock to cover and cooked on high for 3 hours or until the potatoes were tender. When the potatoes were done, I made a basic cheese sauce with butter, flour, milk, broth from the crockpot and lots of cheese which was added to the soup. I seasoned to taste with lots of black pepper and the result was a non greasy, delicious stew that had plenty of rich, thick broth. Forget the canned soups and you won't be sorry.

Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Mar. 11, 2005
This stew had a great texture but not much flavor. The meat was incredibly tender but I had to add a lot of seasonings to give it any flavor at all. OK start for a recipe but it needs work.

Creamed Hard Boiled Eggs

This dish is FANTASTIC! I used Danish Cream Havarti cheese in place of the parm and it turned out perfect. This is going to become a family recipe. Thanks

Quick Sunshine Cake

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2005
This cake was so incredibly moist. The couple pieces that were left sat in the refridgerator covered only with a piece of wax paper and two days later it was *still* moist. If your cake turns out dry, you did something wrong.

Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2005
This is a wonderful and simple dish. I altered a few things out of neccessity. I didn't have white wine so I used broth and I sauteed the chicken with some garlic, onion, and basil because it was too hot to turn on the oven. Personally I thought it was a bit too salty but my fiance loved it that way. Next time I will try it with low-sodium broth, soup and unsalted butter.

White Bean Spread With Garlic & Rosemary

Reviewed: Oct. 25, 2005
I liked this spread and used it on various wraps. I did need to add some salt and extra garlic because I found it a little bland as written.
