good base. Read the other reviews, note additional ingredient ideas that you like/happen to have in the cabinet, and go from there. I subbed buttermilk for milk with good results. Also, sauteed onion and garlic are good additions.

This is good!! I left it pretty chunky, with lots of whole berries like in the picture. this might have been forbidding to some of the canned-cranberry-sauce type people at my thanksgiving, but if they we're put off, they didn't say anything and ate it anyway.

When Bush the First declared he hated broccoli, it was obvious Barbara had never whipped up an Easy Broccoli Quiche for the old boy. This is a good recipe which turns out just how I like my quiche--fast, cheap and tasty. As for the "wetness" and "wateriness" issue raised by some other reviewers: Ladies, ladies, ladies! This problem is easily solved. First, repeat after me: "I will not purchase frozen broccoli. I will not purchase frozen broccoli. I will not purchase frozen broccoli." Your turn. Good, thanks. Secondly, do not SPRINKLE in the cheese, put it in first and PRESS it to the bottom of the pie crust, forming a sort raincoat for the crust--a cheese raincoat, if you will. If you feel silly for not thinking of this yourself, do not despair. I consider myself somewhat of a wetness expert, for two reasons. First, I reside in the Pacific Northwest, where, when it isn't drizzling, sprinkling or spitting, it's most likely raining, pouring or (on rare occasions) hailing. As for the second reason I consider myself a wetness expert...I live with a two-year-old. 'Nuff said.

Awesome, although I tossed out half the butter mixture. Do other people really add all that butter to their biscuits?

love it, love it, love it, love it. This is a cold-weather staple in my house.

This is a great recipe. I made it as is, but while we ate Boyfriend and I brainstormed on possible adaptations/additions. I said celery would be a great addition, he wanted extra hot sauce. Very good soup to eat on a cold autumn day when your heater is broken (I speak from experience.)

I make this often and never get sick of it. I like to use pears instead of apples.

I took this along when my husband and I went camping. I made everything up at home then let it marinate in the cooler. It was wonderful.
