San Francisco Sourdough Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 30, 2005
I have made this successful bread several times. Once I starting adding flour before the "starter" and the bread still did fine. Not every time do I add the onion topping to my loaves. The bread recipe alone is a tasty and simple way to make sourdough loaves or rolls. Thank you for sharing.

Better than the bakery! The chill times for the icing are well worth the wait.

Oven Brown Rice

Reviewed: Jan. 25, 2005
I too had trouble with the cooking time. I did add more liquid and baked 45 mins longer. ALso, to reduce the high level of sodium, I used garlic powder, and low sodium broths. It does have good flavor, but I won't replace our famliy's favorite brown rice.

"Homerun" were the words used by my family to describe this meal. I did not make changes and none are needed! Great as leftovers. Thanks for sharing.

Sage Pork Chops

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2005
Tender Pork Chops! I used boneless pork chops and reduced the cooking time. They had great flavor and a good companion to cooked apples. I took other's advice and reduced the salt and added sliced onions. Thank you for sharing this easy yummy recipe.

Fluffy French Toast

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2005
As others suggested I increased the amount of cinnamon. Also I used a cinnamon plus blend. I used thick slice bread and sandwich sliced, both worked well. It is fluffy and not as soggy as my old faithful recipe. Thanks for sharing we will make this again.

Southern Style Holiday Greens

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2005
I used frozen greens and replaced the water with chicken broth. (not as much liquid was needed since not wilting the greens down) It even received rave reviews from those who normally dislike greens.

Connie's Zucchini "Crab" Cakes

Reviewed: Jul. 14, 2004
Excellent recipe. I added more Old Bay seasoning than called for in the recipe. Also, I let the water drain my zucchini as someone suggested. (Did not use salt, just weighed it down.)
