Excellent moist, dark chocolate cake. I don't like coffee, so I used 2 packets of hot chocolate in the 2cups of hot water instead. Made this cake for my father's birthday and used a layer of the chocolate ganache (on this site) sanwiched between two layers of the peanut butter frosting (also on this site)in the center of the 2 layers of cake. Then frosted with chocolate/peanutbutter frosting made with 1 lb dark chocolate chopped, 1 1/2 cup heavy cream, 1/3 cup dark corn syrup, 1 cup creamy peanut butter. Heat cream, syrup, peanut butter just to boiling and then pour over chocolate. whip and then let cool and beat with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. This was the most amazing cake I have ever made! The cake itself very easy but when you add all I did, it is definetly a special occasion cake, but well worth it.
