Deep Dish Alfredo Pizza

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2013
now i did use my own dough, but the sauce is amazing. better than any Alfredo sauce I've ever had on pizza. definately worth the effort to make your own sauce. i used a jar alredo sauce once and the pizza was gross. if it's not already implied you do have to use real freshly grated Parmesan cheese, not the stuff that's prepackaged grated(duh, right?)...

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Mar. 3, 2013
my recipe is much like this one. I only use 2 tbsp flour though and 1 1/2 cups milk. after baking in the oven for as long as this recipe needs i find that the sauce really thickens up and using too much flour can ruin it. I increase the cheese to 2 cups. instead of all cheddar though i use 1 cup parmesan and 1 cup cheddar cheese. Then in the last 1/2 hour of baking i put a layer of Parmesan cheese over the top so that there is a nice crispy cheese layer.

Chorizo, Potato and Green Chile Omelet

Reviewed: May 4, 2013
this was not good at all. could hardly even taste the chorizo, the potatoes were mushy, and the cheese mixed too much and did not taste good like a regular omelet. it was a mushy mess.

Boilermaker Tailgate Chili

Reviewed: Sep. 9, 2013
although i did not add half of the seasonings(just added garlic and chili seasoning), the idea of adding beer and beef bouillon was great!! i did cheat because i didn't have beef bouillon, all i had was beef stock. When the water level got low i would add some beef stock instead of water. i cooked Italian sausage links separately then cut them up into circles and added near the end(i do not like my ground beef and sausage being mixed and browned together). I also added beef for stew and fried up my own bacon instead of using bacon bits. Great chili. definitely have to add the beer.

Breaded Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: Nov. 18, 2013
These are amazing! My fiance and I both love them. Even my 3 year old and four year old think they are good. I always add 1/4 cup extra Parmesan cheese though. I don't add garlic powder or the seasoning salt as I don't think it needs it. Oh, and after boiling put Brussels sprouts on paper towel to dry or else you will have water in the bottom of your baking dish after broiling.

Artichoke Hearts Gratin

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2014
These were very good!! I was skeptical but they were yummy. The amount of cheese bread crumb topping seemed like a lot when i added it on but it turned out perfect. I used butter instead of olive oil and had no lemon so i just put a little bit of lemon pepper on

Cheese Garlic Biscuits II

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2014
These were very good!! The flavor was great. My husband gets really excited when he sees me making these. It is weird because i find these are better if you precook them, let them cool, and then reheat in the oven or microwave before you eat them. I do recommend doubling the salt. i've tried the other recipes using bisquick or other mixes and they were not as good. those turned out overly fluffy and not nearly as good.

Spicy Cheesy Refried Beans

Reviewed: Mar. 20, 2014
I had high hopes for this because i love cream cheese but the flavor didn't pair well with the refried beans for me. next time i will just add a layer of cheese in the middle of my beans and bake like usual
