Slow Cooker Pulled Pork

This was my first time making pulled pork sandwiches. This was also by far the best pulled sandwiches I have ever tried! I did make a few minor changes. Instead of a can of root-beer, I used a can of beef broth. I rubbed in spices as well into the pork before placing into the slow cooker such as fresh chopped garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. I let the pork cook on slow for 6.5 hours and then shredded it and added more spices including cayenne pepper and let that cook an extra hour. I also took the buns and added butter to the inside and cooked on the skillet on medium heat for a couple minutes until toasted. My boyfriend stuffed jalapeno peppers with cheddar cheese and bacon and cooked that in the oven for 15 minutes as a side. Over-all this made a great dinner!!!
