Italian Wedding Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2007
I made this cake for my mom's birthday and it got rave reviews! I *love* this kind of cake, and the recipe was perfect. The only thing I did differently was not to add the pecans to the frosting; I sprinkled them on top. While I typically hate baking, I will be making this one again! Thanks for posting!

Five stars based on RESALEAPPAREL's review and tips alone. Quick and easy to make!

Black Bean and Couscous Salad

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2007
This is SO good! I was looking for a recipe to help me use up my cooked couscous, and this did the trick. I doubled the dressing as well. Thanks for posting!

World's Best Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2007
This is unbelievable! I've never made any kind of fudge, and this came out just perfect. I used chunky peanut butter (around 15 oz., eyeballing it) and drizzled the top with melted semi sweet chocolate chips. This recipe is a keeper!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

I have made this recipe over and over again, and it gets raves every time! I increase the garlic and throw in the whole brick of cream cheese, and it never disappoints! Thanks for posting this.

Stovetop Pork Chops and Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2006
This was ok. The sauce was a little thin for me. I seared the pork and assembled everything in the skillet, then threw the skillet into the oven for nearly an hour on 350. Sauce still didn't thicken nearly as much. I'd make this again only after I tweak it some more and play around with a little more spice.

The Best Meatballs You'll Ever Have

Reviewed: Jul. 26, 2006
Wow, these were really good! I also baked them (less time-consuming) and followed the recipe exactly, except a added a few shakes of Italian seasoning. The great thing about these is that they are really versatile; you can throw them in marinara, BBQ sauce, gravy, etc. Thanks for sharing this!

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: May 30, 2006
Since finding this recipe a few weeks ago, I have made this dish at least 3 times! It's a great base recipe; the key is to use golden mushroom soup and to soften the cream cheese before adding it to the slow cooker. I also added sliced fresh mushrooms and fresh minced garlic, along with a little brown mustard and a splash of red wine at the beginning of cooking. I could make this 3 times a week and my husband would be thrilled! Thanks for posting this recipe!

Mexican Bean Salad

Reviewed: May 30, 2006
Great recipe! I also cut the oil (I used olive oil) and added seeded cucumbers and cherry tomatoes. Next time I'll try adding orzo as well. This recipe makes a TON of salad, but is a great, healthy alternative to other oily salads. Thanks for the recipe!

Paella

Reviewed: Mar. 1, 2006
I LOVED this recipe! I subbed peas for the green pepper (added the peas at the end with the shrimp) and used saffron. My only complaint (and the reason why I rated 4 instead of 5 stars) is that the rice took FOREVER to cook and time to cook from start to finish was 2 hours. Thanks for submitting this!

Slow Cooker Chicken Stroganoff

Reviewed: Feb. 25, 2006
I thought this was just ok. While everyone I had over really seemed to like it, I thought it was salty and a little bland. I tweaked it according to other reviewers' suggestion, so maybe if I make it again I'll stick to the original recipe.

Simple Beef Flavored Gravy

Reviewed: Feb. 19, 2006
Thanks for the recipe! I needed a "jar of gravy" for a slow roaster recipe I am using tomorrow, and since I didn't want to go back to the grocery store, I tried this out. I followed what other reviewers did, but I added a clove of garlic to the onion (habit, what can I say?). It is a little on the lighter side, but that's fine with me. Yum! Thanks again!

I made this for my husband's birthday (Superbowl Sunday) and it lasted less than 24 hours. Yes, it is sweet, but I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks for the recipe!!

Easy Corn and Crab Chowder

Reviewed: Feb. 12, 2006
Very good! I too changed the amount of flour to 3 tbsp, and I still had to thin it a bit. I added Old Bay, used fresh parsley (all I had), and when I make it next time, will saute in garlic along with the onions. Thanks for the recipe and for all of the great tips from other reviwers!

Crab Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2006
Great recipe! I also added a couple of cloves of garlic to the onion and used bread crumbs instead of saltines. I added some spice to the white sauce but didn't notice a huge difference. I substituted Old Bay for paprika and used a different white cheese. My husband said to make it anytime. We loved it! Thanks for posting.

Clark's Quiche

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2004
Fantastic! The flavor was great and it was a hit at brunch yesterday. I STILL cannot figure out how to fit everything into 2 pie crusts....and yes, I used the 9 inch deep dish. I made a bit of a mess, but oh well....I now have two extra quiches! I will make this more than once! Thanks Clark!!!
