This is quick and easy. Very delicious. I used Betty Crocker Gluten Free bisquick. I added cinnamon and vanilla and a dash of nutmeg. I will make this again.

Meaty Slow Cooker Jambalaya

Reviewed: Oct. 8, 2014
This was fantastic! I added cooked shrimp the last hour And did not use ham. I stirred in brown rice the last hour which absorbed the excess liquid. I didn't have file powder either. I used two cans of fire roasted diced tomatoes. I did everything else as directed in recipe. The jambalaya turned out very yummy. Husband and I liked the spice. Just right for us. This is a keeper.

Slow Cooker Spicy Black-Eyed Peas

Reviewed: Sep. 5, 2014
A Really yummy spicy meal. I Love it. I followed the recipe as directed with minor alterations. I didn't have quite enough cumin left in my jar. So I Added chili powder a shake of ginger. A dash of Worcestershire sauce. With things like this you can play around with seasonings. I didn't add any salt. It was salty enough. I added a frozen block of chopped spinach. I used 6 cups of water total and I think that's fine. It's a chunky soup type consistency. That's what I wanted. I added a tablespoon of corn starch to thicken the soup up. (I mix cornstarch with a small amount of cold water first) then add. And I made some gluten free biscuits to go with the soup and wow what a fabulous meal. Definitely a winner!

Garbanzo Bean Chocolate Cake (Gluten Free!)

Reviewed: Aug. 10, 2014
This is pretty good especially for being GF. I eat GF and I've had hits and misses and this is a hit. Though I think it may need tweaking as it was a bit crumbly in parts and the surfaced cracked but inside it was moist like a fudge brownie. Very smooth texture. Very yummy. My hubby ate it with some cool whip and liked it. I did add butter to the recipe and vanilla as others have suggested. I also removed the husks from the peas and it blended into a very smooth batter. I think it's important to remove the husks. It's very easy to do . The husks slip right off. It just takes time to do each one. I did mine while watching tv. I will definitely make this cake again. And I would recommend the recipe to GF eaters.

Pineapple Spiced Chicken and Rice

Reviewed: May 19, 2014
I used what I had in my home. I didn't have pineapple rings so I used chunks. I liked the spicy rub paste. Very nice. I used brown rice and used the pineapple juice as others have suggested. I had split chicken breasts on the bone. It still turned out great. I Will make this again.

Big Soft Ginger Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2013
Awesome cookies! Today was my first day making them. I read through many reviews first and took note of tips. Instead of water I used orange juice. I Sprayed the measuring cup with oil so the molasses would easily pour. And I cooled the dough in the freezer for a half hour. It was very easy to work with. I kept all of the ingredients and measurements the same other than the water. And I did exactly what the directions said. And I sifted the flour etc. I found that 8 -10 minutes wasn't enough baking time. Maybe it's my oven. 12 minutes is just right for my oven. They turned out very yummy. They have a Slight crisp on the outside and are chewy on the inside. And the flavor is just right. I made 30 cookies out of this recipe. I will definitely make them again.
