Orange Chiffon Cake

Reviewed: May 15, 2011
Made this for my daughter's first birthday. I made a two-layer cake and a small 6 inch round. I frosted with a whipped cream/cream cheese frosting. It was light and not too sweet and perfect for a first birthday cake.

Raspberry Salad Dressing II

Reviewed: Aug. 28, 2010
I actually use this recipe with strawberries instead of raspberries, but I LOVE it. I use it over baby spinach, sliced strawberries, and cinnamon sugared almond slivers. People have told me it's the best salad they've ever had.

Candied Almonds

Reviewed: Jul. 7, 2010
These are great. Minus one start for the instructions. These should be cooked until the liquid has begun to crystallize...not syrup-like coating like the instructions indicate. I also add a little vanilla and I don't always measure the ingredients, I just eyeball it and it always turns out.

Crepes

Reviewed: Jul. 28, 2009
We loved these. I'll be using this recipe instead of the basic in Betty Crocker from now on. I also added a little sugar just because I wanted some sweetness. We had them with strawberries and cream and munster, brown sugar ham, and spinach for brunch today.

Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2008
These are good. Skimped on the butter and sugar...and used half white sugar and they still turned out. Doubled the batch and baked in a 9x13.

Cream Puff Cake

Reviewed: Mar. 15, 2008
This was AWESOME! I made it for Valentine's Day and it worked SO well. I used some melted chocolate between the puff and pudding layers. Next time I am going to use chocolate pudding...and a little less of it. I like the pictures of it in the pie dishes too. I think I'll also do that next time. Thanks for this recipe!

Creamy Pasta with Florets

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2007
I wasn't crazy wild for this recipe, but it was pretty good. I think I might have liked it better with bowtie pasta instead of the angel hair pasta. The sauce was nice and creamy when I blended it up. Oh, I left out the mushrooms because my husband doesn't like them. I'll probably try again with some tweaks.

Sausage and Cranberry Stuffing

Reviewed: Nov. 29, 2007
I like my stuffing on the dryer side. I was only going to add one can of broth...but then I decided just to follow the recipe. It's good, but I think I should have gone with just one can of broth. I will try it that way next time.

Crustless Cheese Quiche

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
TOO BUTTERY! I should have read the other review that said to cut down on butter before I threw this together. Otherwise, a good basic recipe.

Taco Soup VII

Reviewed: Nov. 28, 2007
This Taco Soup was SUPER easy and just as good as the more complicated Taco Soups I've had. The instructions say Taco Seasoning and don't mention the Onion soup mix in the ingredients, so I used the Taco Seasoning. We eat Taco Soup with some grated cheese, sour cream and Fritos scoops. Yummy!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: May 31, 2007
YUM! These cookies are so good. They are just okay, in my opinion, when warm...but they are just about the best I've had once they've cooled. I use milk chocolate chips and no nuts.

It was a good idea...but I have some other similar recipes I like better. Might try again with some tweaks.

Apple and Orange Chicken

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
I thought this was okay, but my husband didn't really like it. The sauce was quite potent...I'm not sure how I would be able to tone it down. Probably won't try again...unless I can't find anything else to do with the powdered cream of chicken soup.

Hearty Ham Balls

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
This was just okay for me. I probably should have used higher quality ground ham. May try again.

Layered Casserole

Reviewed: May 16, 2007
Turned out GREAT! I used a hamburger/sausage mix, added some Italian seasoning and garlic powder to meat sauce, and used Fiori pasta. Made it the night before and it was an excellent dinner.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2007
This was excellent. I did make a few changes. I used minced garlic from a jar and added some lemon juice to the butter. I used chicken tenders instead of breasts and just used Parmesan from a bottle (not freshly grated.) I only made half a recipe. The chicken was nice and juicy and not too garlicky.
