About this Cook
I am a mom approaching 40. For the past ten years I have loved baking. I am definitely passionate about baking and cooking and consider it a fun hobby!!! It is also a wonderful teaching/bonding tool for my nine year old daughter Skylar. We cherish our time together in the kitchen.:)
My favorite things to cook
I love baking cupcakes, muffins, breads, cakes and cookies. I even enjoy making chocolate chile cake and a variety of fudge. As for cooking, I love to use my slow cooker. I also enjoy making lasagna for my family.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baking with my daughter Skylar. She even wears a chefs hat and apron when she bakes with me. Too Cute:)
My cooking triumphs
I make delicious baked goods from scratch. I have made anything from easy box recipes to advanced difficult recipes. My baking is almost always from scratch.
My cooking tragedies
I flopped on a bundt cake. I had company and went to put bundt cake out of pan and on to plate and it fell apart. I also made rice krispie treats once that did not turn out very well.

Slow Cooker Pulled Pork
THIS WAS AMAZING!! I BOUGHT A CASE OF A&W ROOT BEER AND POURED TWO 12 OUNCE CANS OVER THE PORK. I BOUGHT PORK TENDERLOINS FROM WALMART. IT WAS A LITTLE OVER 3 POUNDS TOGETHER (CAME IN A PACKAGE OF TWO). I WAS LATE GETTING HOME, SO THE PORK WAS ACTUALLY ON LOW FOR 10 HOURS!!! I DID COME HOME FROM RUNNING ERRANDS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE DAY AT WHICH POINT I TURNED THE PORK OVER AND POURED JUICES ON IT. I CUT UP A LARGE WHITE ONION IN SMALL PIECES AND POURED IT INTO THE CROCKPOT IN THE MORNING WHEN I PUT THE PORK IN THE CROCKPOT. THE WHITE ONION WAS SWEET AND DELICIOUS WITH THE PORK.
