Chocolate Butter-Creme Frosting

Reviewed: Sep. 8, 2006
Very easy. I didn't change a thing. It was enough to frost a 9 x 13 cake. I will never buy canned frosting again.

Italian Chicken with Pesto Potatoes

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2007
My family loved this. My husband commented several times on how great this chicken tasted. I made it exactly as the recipe stated except I used 1/2 mozz cheese stick for each chicken breast instead of sliced cheese. I had the string cheese on hand and it was easy to stuff into the cut breast.

Sorry - way too salty, even using low sodium soy sauce.

We have enjoyed this so much. It reminds me of the strawberry lemonade at Red Robin.

I had to cook for about 45 minutes - but other than that I did not change a thing and it was delicious

Apple Crumb Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 8, 2011
I used 3 crispin and 3 granny smith apples which after slicing I realized was about 11 cups (no raisins or walnuts). I still only used same amt of sugar, cinnamon, flour & nutmeg. I made 2 pies with this amount of filling. I also tripled the crumb mixture and spread on the 2 pies. Absolutely delicious and perect sweetness!

Grilled Marinated Shrimp

Reviewed: May 28, 2007
Excellent! You don't taste any one ingredient, they all just blend so nicely. I did take the previous advice and did not marinade the 2 hours due to the shrimp "cooking" in the lemon juice.

Fresh Blueberry Pie IV

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2005
Great filling. Easy to make and I used it for a filling between cake layers instead of pie. Great summer dessert and easy!

Juicy Roasted Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 12, 2012
I agree with the rest of the reviews - perfect as written. The only thing I changed was the time (a little longer) since my chicken was 5 pounds. I'm thinking the foil tent helped to keep it moist, but the taste was also delicious.

Valentino's Pizza Crust

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
I have been using this recipe for several months now. I follow recipe as written, however, I do pre-bake for 10 minutes, add topping, then bake for 10 more minutes. So much better than store bought. (and faster than delivery)

Sugar Cookie Icing

Reviewed: Oct. 31, 2007
Great icing!! I did not have to change the recipe at all. I mixed the sugar and milk first, then the corn syrup and flavoring. You need to really mix it but it works as written.

Sesame Chicken Strips with Sweet Sauce

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2007
I made these twice. Once as recipe states as a tester and my family loved them (I did not make the dipping sauce). The second time was for a party I was having and I ran out of sesame seeds. As another member suggested I used flax seeds. They were just as wonderful (and a little healthier). Both times I used a jar duck sauce which worked out great. Thanks for a great recipe.

Peppermint Brittle

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2006
I didn't review the reviews ahead of time so I bought the cheap vanilla buttons and mini candy canes. I didn't have any peppermint extract. I wouldn't change a thing!! Deserves 10 stars as is.

Simple White Cake

Great cake. Made recipe exactly and poured into 11 x 17 jelly roll pan and baked for 10 minutes. I put a blueberry filling down next then made another cake for the top. Frost top only with vanilla frosting and everyone raved!!

Jacky's Fruit and Yogurt Muffins

Reviewed: Feb. 21, 2011
These are great muffins. I could not find any 8 oz yogurts so I used a 6 oz blueberry Greek yogurt (loaded with protein) and added a little milk to make up the difference. Calling this a firm batter is an understatement - but don't be afraid. These muffins are moist and delicious.
