Bread Pudding With Caramel Sauce

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2013
I was scared to use so many eggs! but this is my favorite bread pudding now - seriously the best I've ever made!! I followed the recipe completely - except for adding a teaspoon of cinnamon. It slid out of the baking dish like a flan - and even looked like a flan to our amazement. Next time, I'll add butter and vanilla extract to the caramel to give it a bit more creaminess. Outside of that, I wouldn't change a thing. Oh, except for adding more sugar to combat the egg flavor.

Easy Peach Cobbler II

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2013
I made this for the 2nd time today and I used 3 15oz cans of peaches. I poured the first 2 cans into a buttered dish and covered that layer with bread squares and drizzled the bread with melted butter and sprinkled cinnamon before covering the layer with the sugar mixture. I poured the 3rd can on top of that and repeated the same step. covered, baked it and it tastes even better than the original recipe. but don't get me wrong, i like the first recipe but I like more cobbler than what the first recipe recommends.

Zippy Shepherd's Pie

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2013
This is a really good recipe. I didn't add tomatoes or crushed garlic - used garlic powder instead. I also used 5 large potatoes and sprinkles of the curry powder. I did add more cornstarch than the recipe calls for. If this is your first time trying this out - don't worry. it's a very flexible recipe and if you like sheperd's pie you'll know the flavor you're after so don't be afraid to add a little bit more or less of whatever works for your palette.

Grandma B's Bean Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2014
I followed the recipe, but definitely did my own thing in addition, Next time I'll use less beans because the next morning, the "soup" turned into a pot of beans thanks to the absorption. I found lamb neck bones and browned those with the miricroix (sp) and used 32oz of chicken stock and water. The bacon fat didn't stand a chance with the aggressive flavor of the lamb, so next time I'll just use the lamb because it was delicious with the beans.

Lemonade Pie III

Reviewed: Jun. 13, 2014
the measurements are off. You actually need 12oz of the cool whip to give it the desired firmness without having to freeze it overnight. I also made my own crust and added the zest of one lemon.
