Proud, dedicated wife, mother, and grandmother. I read, play guitar, grow things in the dirt, and enjoy nature.
My favorite things to cook
I like to experiment. I know how to make different, even strange, flavors compliment one another which makes it fun and easy to continually put new spins on old recipes.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Our greatest tradition is that every year, without fail, some part of the meal will accidentally be forgotten. One year it might be the rolls, the next year it could be the cranberry sauce or stuffed celery. Someone always remembers the forgotten thing, it seems, just as everyone has finished eating. then we all get called back to the table because we must eat some of whatever was forgotten. It's silly, but it's been a running joke in our family for over 30 years.
My cooking triumphs
Anything that passes the 'kid approval' test.
My cooking tragedies
On my daughter's 15th birthday, I dropped her homemade cake upside down on the kitchen floor as I was presenting it to her. We had Dairy Queen that year...lol
