Willie Cake

Reviewed: Jul. 24, 2005
I made this cake for my son's (named William) birthday, and it has become a tradition in our house. I used Ghiradelli Chocolate and the quality of the finished torte was impressive, restautant qaulity.

Mocha Walnut Cookies

This recipe came out wonderful! I added about 1/2 cup extra flour, and susbtituted white chocolate chips for the walnuts, as I did no have any on hand. Over all an instant classic with my famiy.

Pecan Pie Bars I

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2006
These came out incredible. I (yet again) cut the recipe in half to fit an 8 inch square pan. Due to a minor oversight, I ended up using equal parts light and dark corn syrup, and i think they really couldn't taste better. These were gooey-licious and crunchy, and the crust got a bit of crispness after a day. These are a definite keeper.

Perfect Lemon Curd

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2004
I just threw all the ingredients together, then stirred over a medium double boiler. I never stopped stirring and it came out perfect. The flavor was full of lemon-y goodness, and I served it with scones and clotted cream. Everyone loved it.

Bagels II

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
This was my first time making bagels, and this recipe made it easy. The bagels themselves are delicious, dense and chewy, making great sandwiches. My 3 year old nephew ate 2 of them by himself. I only rate 4 stars because this is only my first bagel recipe and something better might come along...

Having never had scones before I give the highest rating. It was very easy, and they came out perfect the first time.

Easy Clotted Cream

Reviewed: Apr. 25, 2004
this recipe was almost too easy. I found that it was just a touch to tangy for our tastes and added extra sugar.

Baklava

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
This was amazing. My husband couldn't stay out of it, eating it hot and flaky out of the pan. For my small family I halved this recipe and used an 8x8 square baking dish. I used less than half of the phyllo, but am saving the rest for fried feta. I was concerned at first about halving the amounts, but it came out amazing. I used walnuts and almonds because they were on sale, but might make with pistahcios as a great gift.
