Honey Mustard Sauce Recipe

Reviewed: May 24, 2012
Made exactly as written. Easy and tasty. Based on my family's preferences, I would add more hot sauce next time but that is a personal preference. Very tasty just as written!

Spaghetti Pie

Reviewed: Nov. 6, 2011
The family enjoyed this. It's a step up from just serving spaghetti with a jar of sauce you open. I added some garlic in with the olive oil and mixed that in with the spaghetti. This is definitely a recipe where you need to use a sauce that you really like. I made it in an 11x7 pan.

Grandma's Chocolate Zucchini Brownies

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2011
I had extra shredded zucchini after making Zucchini Bread, was looking for something to use it up, and stumbled upon this recipe. I didn't sift anything, was not real exact on measurments, and used a 9x13. This was EXCELLENT! More "cake" than "brownie" but so tasty. I skipped the walnuts, but the topping was delicious. It's all I can do to not grab a square every time I'm near the kitchen :)

Sandy's Casserole

This is a 5-star recipe for what it is....EASY comfort food. Everyone in my family loved it. I followed others suggestions and baked covered for 45 minutes. Removed the foil, topped with a light sprinkling of french fried onions and baked for 10 more minutes. Will absolutely make again!

Broccoli Cheese Soup V

Reviewed: Oct. 15, 2011
Wow! This was easy and very tasty. I changed the serving size to 4. Served four huge bowls and refrigerated another 3 cups for tomorrow. I used half Velveeta and half shredded cheddar. Also used skim mild and the soup was still thick and cheesy.

Quinoa with Chickpeas and Tomatoes

Reviewed: Sep. 10, 2011
Quick, tasty & healthy. Even the people who never ate quinoa and don't like beans loved this recipe. I couldn't taste the lime, but the combination of the dressing ingredients was fresh and yummy. I substituted cilantro because that is what I had, and substituted chili powder for the cumin because I was out of cumin.

Green Bean and Tomato Salad

Loved this recipe. I'm not a big celery fan, but the crunch it added to this was unexpectedly delicious. I just threw all of the veggies in one bowl, mixed the dressing ingredients in another, and tossed it all togehter.

Broccoli n Tomato Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2011
I made this as the main dish while my vegetarian daughter was home. Delicious! Did not find it it be dry at all, although I always remove and save a mug full of the pasta water when draining. After mixing everything together, I throw in half of that water...or more if needed.

Orcchiette Pasta with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage

Reviewed: Mar. 22, 2011
Used Curelom's recommendation to cook the broccoli rabe in the same pot as the pasta...less dishes is always good! Next time, I will cook the broccoli rabe for half the time shown because it all fell apart when mixed together. Regardless - it was delicious and easy! (skipped the olives because we don't like them)

Kingman's Vegan Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2011
Delicious as is. I also skipped the flax seeds and substituted cornstarch for the arrowroot. The loaf bakes to a beautiful color. The contrast of the slightly denser crust and the soft bread is awesome. Next time I would reduce the sugar, only because I just felt like I put a lot in! But it is delicious with the amount called for. I think I'll go eat another piece :)

Perfect dinner for a busy night what you want to make something that looks like you put more effort in cooking than you actually have time for! I substituted Boca Crumbles for the ground beef and you would never know! Also added 3 cloves of garlic. YUM!! Easy, delicious vegetarian meal.

Debdoozie's Blue Ribbon Chili

Reviewed: Oct. 18, 2010
Thanks for sharing this easy, delicious recipe. I used ground chicken because that is what was in the fridge. Never one to waste, I used a full onion, one large can (15oz) and one small can (8oz) of tomato sauce. I bought a 16 oz jar of Pace Picante, so I just used the entire thing. Glad I did! It was perfect.

I followed other reviews and switched the amounts of the oils. Also used hot pepper sauce. Was very salty, so next time - and there WILL be a next time - I would used reduced sodium soy sauce. I thickened the sauce with some corn starch. It was delicious.

Easy Broccoli Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 17, 2010
EASY quiche recipe. I adjusted only because of what I had on hand and because I can't follow instructions :) I prebaked the pie crust for abt 10 minutes. Sprinkled 1/2 cup of mozzarella over the crust, topped with vegetable mixture, and poured mixture of 3 eggs, 1 cup milk and 1 cup cheddar cheese over all. Baked 45 minutes. Looks and tastes delicious, and so easy & quick. Will use again for a vegetarian dish.

Stuffed Peppers My Way

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2010
Thanks Sandy! My one daughter is a vegetarian and it hs hard to find recipes that satisfy her AND the rest of the family. This hit the mark! I followed the cooking times exactly and loved the roasted peppers. I doubled the recipe and used a 28 oz can of crushed tomatoes because that was all I had. After cooking the tomatoes with the onions & spices, I removed about half to serve on the side before I mixed the rice in. Worked perfectly. This is a keeper and an easy recipe that everyone should try. It's so easy to adapt...just look at the photos and you can see. None of them even look similar!

Turkey Pot Pie III

Comfort food! I used what I had (leftover chicken, cream of chicken soup, can of Veg-All, refrigerated roll out pie crust) Delicious and so very easy. Perfect after an exhausting day of work. Pop it in the oven and then relax for 45 minutes. It tasted like much more work went into it. Would definitely make again and again.
