Country Apple Dumplings

Reviewed: Aug. 3, 2006
This is great! Since this is super fattening, I made some changes & couldn't tell any difference. I used reduced fat crescent rolls, cut the sugar to 1/2c. & 1/2 c. splenda & used diet mountain dew. I cut back the butter to 1 stick + 2 tblsp. Does anyone know what the fat grams & calories would be with these changes?

Very good. I changed the butter & sugar also. I also baked at 250 for 30 min, stirring once. Do not use sugar-free jello - it doesn't work.

Cheeseburger Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 23, 2005
Great Soup! We loved it! I cooked the beef & drained. Then I added the beef, chicken broth, 2 c. of beef broth (I omitted the milk), vegetables, potatoes & spices.(I shredded my own potatoes.) I did not use any margarine. I thickened the soup & added low-fat Velveeta cheese. Using fat-free sour cream this makes a Weight Watchers entree worth 5 points if you make it for 7 servings.

Excellent! We are not big fish eaters, but this is healthy and good. I did not coat foil with butter, just sprayed it with olive oil. Used dill instead of tarragon.

Ham and Swiss Casserole

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2007
Very Good. I made a few substitutions for what I had at home. I used cream of chicken soup, 1 cup french onion chip dip made with sour cream for the 1 cup of sour cream & omitted the onion & green pepper. I cooked the noodles & then mixed the rest together & put it in the crock-pot on low for 3 hrs.

Simple Scones

Reviewed: Nov. 3, 2005
This is the best scone recipes! I have tried many different recipes. Very moist & flaky. I made the lemon-blueberry & the almond-cherry & plain. I also made lemon curd to top them. (I used the perfect lemon curd recipe on Allrecipes.) Also very good with rasberry jam & lemon curd on top.

Pudding Poke Cake

Reviewed: Jan. 4, 2011
Great cake! I used white cake, 2 pkgs of sugar-free instant chocolate fudge pudding & 1/2 c. powdered sugar. (Next time I am not going to use any powdered sugar.) I poured 1/2 the pudding on the warm cake. I added 1 - 8oz. chocolate cool whip to remaining pudding & put on the cake when it was cooled. Next time I am going to slice bananas on top of the cake before I pour the remaining pudding mixture on top of it. Very Light & yummy.

Sausage Cabbage Bake

Reviewed: Mar. 25, 2010
I made this a little different in case someone doesn't like cabbage, it was easy to pick it out. I cut a head of cabbage in about 8 chuncks & boiled for a few minutes. I took the cabbage, broke it apart & put in the bottom of the casserole dish. I mixed together the cooked hamburg(instead of sausage), rice, tomato sauce & 1- 15oz can of chopped tomatoes & put on top of the cabbage. I topped with shredded cheese & baked. This is great & alot easier.
