Chocolate Trifle

Reviewed: Apr. 23, 2012
So good! I followed other reviewers suggestions about using heavy cream in place of cool whip for the pudding mixtures. I made a box cake mix, instead of brownies. While the cake was still hot, I poked holes in the cake and poured a cup of coffee over it. I added about a teaspoon of vanilla to the cool whip before using it. There was nothing left of this dessert!

Flounder Florentine

Reviewed: Jan. 6, 2012
We really liked this recipe. I used fresh spinach which I just put down in the 13x9 pan. In place of the chopped onion, I used 1 tbsp of tastefully simple onion onion. I forgot to put the paprika and cheese on it before I cooked it so I would imagine that would make it even more delicious. will definitely make again.

Cocktail Meatballs I

Reviewed: Feb. 16, 2011
So good! I doubled the recipe and served at a party and they were the first thing to go. The only change I made was to use 1 tbsp of dried onion flakes instead of the chopped onion. I took the advice of other reviewers and baked the meatballs in advance and put in the freezer. Three hours before the party, I mixed together the chili sauce and jelly in the crockpot and then put the meatballs in. I cooked on high for 2 hours and then switched to low.

Ham and Bean Soup II

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2011
This was so good! I cooked the beans and ham in 3 cups of broth, along with a bay leaf and peppercorns in a Dutch oven until the beans were almost soft. Then I put the beans, diced ham, veggies, 2 diced garlic cloves, 1 tsp brown sugar, 1 tsp paprika and crushed black pepper in a crockpot where it cooked all day. Delicious!

Bob's Slow Cooker Braciole

Reviewed: Jan. 13, 2011
This is really good! Because we eat gluten free, I used gluten free bread crumbs. Because they can be bland, next time I would season them a bit.

Party Mimosa

Reviewed: Jan. 1, 2011
Just made this today and it was soo good! I couldn't find 12 oz cans of nectar or pineapple juice so I used a 9.5 oz can of apricot nectar and (2) 9.5 oz cans of pineapple juice plus 1 cup of water and the oj per the recipe. Think next time I might add some triple sec.

Ground Beef Enchiladas

Reviewed: Nov. 14, 2010
This was so good! I did follow the advice of some and used enchilada sauce at the bottom of the pan as well as on top of the enchiladas. My two youngest thought it was too spicy. My husband, oldest daughter and I loved it! Next time, I'll make half with enchilda sauce, half without.

This so good! I made it with 3 Olives Citron Vodka and did a one to one ratio with the Frangelico and vodka. You can also use limes for this shot too.

Pat's Baked Beans

Reviewed: Jun. 1, 2009
This baked beans were so good! I followed the advice of the other reviewers and omitted the chick peas. I replaced this with Bush's baked beans. I put all the ingredients in the crockpot and cooked on low for six hours. Then I turned it on high and took the lid off so it could thicken up. This was really good and I will definitely make it again.

Coco-Cola Cake II

Reviewed: May 8, 2009
My MIL had given me her recipe for Coco-Cola cake and I lost the recipe card. I think this is the exact recipe and my girls always want coco-cola cake as their bday cake. My daughter has celiac disease so I made it with gluten free flour and everyone loved it. My in-laws were here when I made it and they thought it was great!
