Chicken Pesto Pizza

Reviewed: May 16, 2004
Pretty good. I would recommend dicing the chicken chunks into small pieces to get really good coverage on the pizza. Also, serve with pizza or pasta sauce for dipping.

Buffalo Style Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: May 16, 2004
This recipe is pretty good. I would recommend using only part of a jar of blue cheese dressing. It is very sloppy and fattening otherwise. You won't loose the flavor profile by only using what you need and putting extra in ramekins for dipping.

Easier Chicken Marsala

Reviewed: May 11, 2004
Almost perfect. This recipe is missing something minor and the sauce needs to be thickened just a tad. I plan on playing around with this to figure out just what it needs to make it worth 5 stars.

Baked French Toast

Reviewed: May 9, 2004
This turned out way to mushy which means that the serving guide is wrong and the egg/milk/half & half mixture could have used another entire loaf of crusty bread... at least! The only good part about this recipe was the topping.

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: May 9, 2004
Don't make the mistake of putting this on the bottom shelf of your oven it will burn. We ate around the burnt part and found it to be bland. I'll try a sage sausage or spicy sausage next time.

Garlic Ranch Chicken

Reviewed: May 9, 2004
Unfortunately after reading the reviews I decided to change this recipe before I even made it. I used a 1 oz. packet of ranch dip mix instead of the wet dressing. I added that to a resealable plastic bag with some olive oil and the other ingredients to make a marinade. This turned out great with the changes made.

Garlic Mashed Potatoes Secret Recipe

Reviewed: May 9, 2004
This recipe was missing the creaminess that I like in my mashed potatoes. I added sour cream, but half & half might work better. I also added more garlic. The end result was a nice base recipe that is lacking what it needs to be really good. I’ll keep working with this one.

Calico Squash Casserole

Reviewed: May 9, 2004
I was disappointed that the vegetables turned almost to mush. My husband liked it anyway, but I think I'll sauté the vegetables next time instead of boiling them.

Omitted the garlic powder on recommendation of a friend who works at that famous steak house. Otherwise, this recipe was right on!

This is my favorite potato salad recipe. It beats out the old-fashioned mustard potato salad by an entire star. Great recipe!

Pesto Chicken Florentine

Reviewed: May 3, 2004
This recipe is super easy to make! The additions suggested make this dish much better. I added 1/4 cup diced red onion while sautéing the chicken, used a full 5 ounce container baby spinach, added 4 ounce can of chunky portabella mushrooms and used Ragu garlic alfredo sauce instead of the dry mix. I also omitted the cheese. Alfredo sauce is rich enough on its own. This was a nice twist on our usual chicken alfredo pasta. Definitely a keeper. I’m going to add shredded carrot next time for additional color and nutrition.

Cajun Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: May 2, 2004
I added 8 oz. fresh sliced mushrooms and omitted the peppers because of personal preference. Sauce was thin as others have mentioned, but at cornstarch slurry solves that problem. This is a wonderfully tasty dish.
