Chinese Spareribs

These didn't work out for me. They were dry and tough. It may have been that there wasn't enough meat on the bones of the spareribs that I chose. Maybe I should have cooked them less, but spareribs always have to be cooked long in order to have them fall off the bone, so I didn't want to do that. The flavor was pretty tasty though.

General Tsao's Chicken II

The sauce is terrific. Can't give it 5 stars because I used Joe's General Tso's Chicken recipe from this site to make the chicken part. I twice fried it like this recipe though. I usually don't like to rate a recipe when I've changed it, but I just wanted others to know that both recipes are great. I just think this sauce is better. Thanks to both chefs for sharing their recipes. I also think a little hoisin sauce would be a nice addition to this sauce, but I just made it as is for now. Thanks again!!

Country Apple Dumplings

WOW! Wonderful recipe. So easy and so delicious. I had to eat them cold because I was so busy, but I think they would be even more wonderful warm with some vanilla ice cream. UMMMM! Thanks for a great recipe. Only thing I did different, was that I sprinkled a cinnamon, nutmeg and sugar mixture on dough triangles before placing the apple wedge on them, then rolled them up and proceeded as directed. I don't know if it made much of a difference. The recipe is terrific as is.

Slow Cooker Barbeque

The flavor was terrific, but mine wouldn't shred at all. I spent over $13 for a boneless chuck roast and it wasn't worth it. I'd like to try it again, because it was so easy, but I was really disappointed. Can't figure out what I didn't wrong.

Chocolate Chip Coffee Cake

Texture of this cake was very nice, tender and moist. I hate it when people rate a recipe when they haven't tried it as written, but I did substitute 1/2 c. peanut butter for half the butter and 1/2 c. peanut butter chips for half the chocolate chips, as someone else suggested. My husband LOVED this cake and reminded me to save the recipe. I thought it was very good, but not exceptional. However, I am planning on keeping the recipe because I want to try it as written. At any rate, it is a very nice coffee cake and worth making. Thanks for posting the recipe.

Italian Anisette Cookies

Loved these cookies. Only thing I did differently was that I added 1 T. anise seed and shaped these into different shapes like my grandmother used to do. Otherwise, recipe is perfect. This is a wonderful dough and so easy to work with. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Mock Coconut Pie (Spaghetti Squash Pie)

Didn't really care for this. I make a lot of unusual things and make wonderful zucchini cake, crisp & brownies, but this was just so-so. The flavor was good and it smelled wonderful, but the texture wasn't good. I even cut the squash up before adding it like others suggested. Not a favorite. Sorry!

Mini Meatloaves

This is a wonderful recipe. At first I thought it was too much milk, but it was perfect. The meatloaves were done at the exact time stated and they were moist and delicious. Loved the topping. Didn't change a thing. Thanks for sharing.

Grandmother's Buttermilk Cornbread

YUMMY! This cornbread was excellent. It was moist and slightly heavy with just the right amount of sweetness. This is the best cornbread yet in my opinion. Only thing I did different is that I didn't have an 8" square pan so I used a 9" pan and cooked for 8 mins less. Otherwise, I didn't change it at all. Great Recipe...Thanks!

Emma's Slow Cooker Clam Chowder

This recipe is WONDERFUL. Only changes I made were to suit me. I used a medium rutabaga inplace of the potatoes; I added a bottle of clam juice, fresh thyme and I added the clams after the soup was done so that they wouldn't be chewy. None of the changes actually had to be done. I believe this soup is excellent as it is. Thanks!

Mexican Cookie Rings

This recipe is terrific. They are simple to make and turn out perfectly. They have a very nice vanilla and butter taste. I made NO CHANGES to this recipe. I thought they were very pretty too with the colors of the Mexican flag. Great addition to our Cinco de Mayo celebration. Thanks for the recipe Glenda.

Chocolate Hazelnut Frosting

Excellent frosting. I don't like store bought frostings, but I thought I'd give this a try because of the nutella. I used sugar-free nutella because it's what I had on hand and it came out perfectly delicious. I imagine it would be so much better, but sweeter with the regular nutella. I made a 2 layer cake and topped my cake with a cherry and some crushed hazelnuts. There was plenty of frosting for a nice thick layer. Thanks for the recipe.

Quick Pickled Eggs and Beets

Creamy Limoncello

This is delicious and so easy. Much cheaper than buying creamy limoncello too. All the adults at my party enjoyed this drink. Thanks for the posting. Don't know how long it will last in the refrigerator, but if you freeze it, you will have it for a good long time.

Apple Bavarian Torte

WONDERFUL DESSERT! I saw this recipe on another site and was excited to try it. I used canned pears as another person suggested because I wanted something just a little different. WOW! It was so beautiful, and so delicious. I got so many compliments when I served this on New Year's Day. Great recipe! Don't know why anyone would have trouble making it. It was simple to put together. It really couldn't be easier. Thanks!

Tricia's Pineapple Cheese Casserole

WOW! This was OUTSTANDING! I've had this type of casserole before and really loved it, but I've never made one myself. I halved the recipe for just my husband and I. He went back for seconds! I had to put the oven at 375 because I was making a chicken dish with this and it worked out just fine. I just took it out when it was browned and beautiful. This is a keeper. Thanks for the recipe.

Zucchini Brownies

I loved this recipe. I was surprised that the batter really wasn't a batter, but more like crumbs. The water from the zucchini brought it all together when it baked and it was delicious. I didn't use the frosting, but sprinkled on some chocolate chips when it came out of the oven like another reviewer said. I don't think it even needed that, but it was very delicious. I will definitely be making this again. Maybe I'll try to reduce the sugar a little next time, just for health reasons.

Quinoa and Black Beans

This is the first time I had quinoa. I love rice and beans, so figured I'd like this. It was wonderful. I had it for lunch yesterday and warmed the leftovers up for breakfast. I will definitely be making this again. I only used one can of black beans, and used chicken broth because I didn't have vegetable broth. Other than that, I made it as directed. SUPER! Nice introduction to quinoa.

Fettuccine Alfredo V

ABSOLUTELY the best Alfredo Sauce. Got rave reviews from family. I used it on ravioli and it stayed creamy and delicious. Most alfredo sauces absorb into pasta and makes a clump, but this recipe stayed creamy. Used 4 cloves of garlic and it was just right. SUPER! Thanks for a keeper. No need to look further for a recipe for alfredo sauce!!! I think I'd like to try it with crumbled cooked sausage next. UMMMM!
