Famous Butter Chicken

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2004
I made this recipe with low-fat crackers and about half the butter, and we didn't miss a thing in the taste. I also added a bit of italian seasonings to the cracker mixture. It was very good and very easy to make. We all loved it.

Raspberry Lemon Muffins

Reviewed: Aug. 25, 2004
Wow! These were really good. I used non-fat yogurt and made them with both raspberries and blueberries. I took them to work and everyone gobbled them up. I'd make them again in an instant!

Italian Love Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 29, 2004
After reading all the reviews, I thought this cake would be to die for, but for some reason, it was just "okay" and I just didn't love it. I also used the fudge marble cake mix, as one person suggested, which made it look nice, and it was quite easy to make, but I'll try something else next time. Thanks for sharing it though!

Jimmy Carter Dessert

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2004
This should be renamed the Nutty Buddy dessert. It was easy to make - and tasted good, but not wonderful. I loved the crust though. I think next time I might freeze it for a more ice cream like texture. Thanks for sharing.

Pumpkin Apple Streusel Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2004
These were very moist muffins with great flavor. I also added the entire can of pumpkin instead of just the one cup. I didn't fill the cups the whole way to the top, as I thought they might rise too much, so the recipe made more muffins for me. Next time I'll fill the cups to the top, as they don't rise that much.

Won Ton Wrapper Appetizers

Reviewed: Nov. 22, 2004
Every time I've made these, people gobble them up! They are so delicious, and so easy. I leave out the olives and put in a touch of salsa. Update: I notice that some people precook the sausage and others don't - I find they get less greasy if you cook the sausage before mixing with the other ingredients. And then they don't take so long in the oven and the wrappers don't burn.

Garlic Cheddar Chicken

How many extra stars can I give this? It was easy to make and tasted great and my daughter even loved it. I've made it several times already. Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Sausage Flowers

Reviewed: Nov. 24, 2004
These are so easy to make and delicious! I added a bit of ranch dressing to the mixture and it was wonderful. I also pre-baked the wonton wrappers until just very lightly golden and they were not greasy at all. My 16-year old daughter made them as a Thanksgiving appetizer last year and everyone loved them. Thanks for sharing your recipe.

Frosted Banana Bars

Reviewed: Dec. 17, 2004
Oh my gosh, how many stars can I give this recipe? It was super easy and very delicious. Everyone at work loved it. I didn't have a jelly roll pan so I used the same size cake pan and it worked out great, and I used almost 3 bananas. I also took other readers advice and made my own cream cheese frosting. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing this recipe, Delta!

Bobbie's Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 20, 2004
These were excellent - soft and chewy. I used Splenda sugar substitute and I refrigerated my dough before baking, and they held their shape very well. I also baked mine for a few more minutes than stated, but it was probably the size of the cookie I made. Thanks for sharing, Shannon.

Holiday Peppermint Bark

Reviewed: Dec. 22, 2004
Delicious and super, super easy. I melted my white chocolate chips in a double boiler and crushed the candy canes in a ziplock bag with a hammer. I like bigger chunks in the candy, so I poured all the candy canes into the melted chocolate. I also refrigerated it to speed up the process so I could eat it more quickly! Everyone at work loves it too.

Sausage Brunch Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 27, 2004
Very good and very easy. I actually added another egg to the mixture, thinking it didn't look like enough when I poured it into the dish, but I imagine it would have been fine like it was written. I also added a touch of garlic powder and a little parsley/italian seasonings. My kids loved it. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Reviewed: Jan. 19, 2005
This recipe was very quick and easy. I didn't have as much time as I liked for the crock pot, so I browned the meat before putting it in. I also thought it needed something (after tasting,) so I added a half a package of onion soup mix, garlic and black pepper. Also used cream of mushroom soup, as I couldn't find golden mushroom soup. I love easy, simple recipes and this fit. Thanks for sharing, Jessica.

Chocolate Candy Bar Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2005
I made this in two square 8x8 disposable pans, so I had to increase the cooking time by about 10 minutes. It was a delicious, moist cake. I also added chopped peanut butter cups to the icing, as someone suggested. It was great! Thanks for sharing.

Gob Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 7, 2005
The cake portion of this was incredibly moist and wonderful and tasted just like the cake portion of a gob. The icing, however, was a bit of a mess. While beating it for the 10 minutes, it became a kind of runny mess - maybe it was the shortening? I finally added some confectioners sugar, which made it a little better. It still tasted good, but looked strange. I'll make again with a different icing.

Breakfast Casserole

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2005
Very good and easy to prepare. I also cooked it for almost an hour (it was filled to the top in my 9x13 pan) and also used the Ritz crackers on top. Yum. We are still eating leftovers. Thanks for sharing.

Thai Chicken Pizza

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2005
I thought this was good but "needed" something. My daughter loved it. I also used less peanut butter (as other reviewers suggested) and cooked the chicken in soy and garlic. I bought a refrigerated pizza crust, cooked it until lightly browned and then immediately spread the peanut sauce over. I would make this again. Thanks for sharing.

Good Dog Cookies

Woof! Woof! My owner made these for me last night. Better than the store bought kind. I hope if I'm a good dog she'll give me another treat tonight!
