Sarah's Knish

Reviewed: Sep. 16, 2010
These were fantastic! I made them for a New York-themed potluck at work. No one here had eaten a knish before, but everyone enjoyed them. The dough is thin and delicious and the potato filling is surprisingly flavorful for something so simple. Thanks for the recipe!

Kale Puttanesca

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2010
This was fantastic! I need more recipes like this - fast, simple, healthy and delicious. I doubled the kale as suggested in other reviews, because we are drowning in kale from our CSA boxes. I skipped the anchovies because I don't eat fish and added an extra tablespoon of capers instead. My boyfriend requested less red pepper flakes next time, but I think he was being a big baby so I still give it 5 stars.

Cinnamon Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
Having read the reviews, I decided to mix the spices (minus most of the salt) into some mayo (about 1 cup, I think). I spread the mayo over the chicken and baked it in a covered dish, and it was dilicious! Very spicy, but not overwhelmingly so. The cinnamon added a unique flavor that I definitely enjoyed.

Onion Rice

I loved this rice! I added some fresh garlic to the onion and substituted seasoned pepper for the black pepper, and it turned out perfect.

Tangy Broccoli

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
Very simple and tasty! This was a great change from the plain cheesey broccoli I usually eat.

Cinnamon Cookies II

Reviewed: Apr. 20, 2004
These cookies were wonderful! They were light and crispy, but still slightly chewy in the middle - the texture reminded me of ginger snaps. I added a little bit extra cinnamon, and they tasted perfect. I baked them to take to a meeting, and they were a big hit with everyone there!

Chewy Coconut Cookies

Reviewed: Apr. 13, 2004
These are wonderful! I brought about four dozen to a meeting, and they were gone before I knew it (pretty good, considering there were only about 12 people at the meeting!) I love chewy cookies, and I love coconut. What could be better?
