Pizza Dough II

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2015
I add a tsp pizza herbs to the dough. This dough rocks!

Sun-Brewed Mint Tea

Reviewed: Jun. 20, 2014
I put two lipton tea bags in it as well. It still had a light flavor, but delicious. I tried a couple of limes instead of lemon (because that is what I had on hand) and I'm now calling it a Sun-brewed Mint Limeade. haha

Honey Multigrain Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 7, 2014
I followed some of the other commenters for proofing the yeast and reducing the amount of unbleached flour. Also, I added an egg wash to the tops then sprinkled some slightly ground chia seeds for a little extra aesthetic and nutritional appeal! Altogether a delicious recipe.

Simple Garlic and Basil Pesto

Reviewed: May 25, 2014
It came out more like a pesto-y cheese spread, which is delicious, but not quite pesto.

The Best Rolled Sugar Cookies

Reviewed: Feb. 17, 2013
A fantastic recipe, really great flavor. Substituting 1/3 or the white sugar with powdered sugar actually makes them lighter in texture and color without making the cookie crumbly. (Only found out because I ran out of sugar! But still, I will probably make it with the substitution from now on since the result was so good.)

French Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 28, 2013
delicious!!! I just added 1/2 tsp more salt and a TBS of butter to the warm water as suggested by other cooks and it came out great! I didn't bother with basting the water on seams either.

Mrs. Sigg's Snickerdoodles

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
I think there is no need for that much cinnamon! It is more like two tablespoons of sugar to 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon mixed together to make a balanced topping. Otherwise, the cinnamon overpowers the whole cookie. I find them best undercooked by at least a minute (so 7 minutes) because they will still bake a little on the pan and come out more chewy that way.

Pesto

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
This recipe is very easy and very delicious. Great on hot sandwiches, pizzas, or pastas. No need for the parsley. Also, doesn't seem to matter what kind of nuts are used.

Creamy Cinnamon Rice Pudding

Reviewed: Jan. 14, 2013
It came out more slimy than like a custard. Very weird consistency. It's possible I didn't do it right though.

Tomato Bisque III

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2013
Needed a lot of work. I used a lot of other reviewers suggestions. It was very thin more like a tomato soup rather than a bisque. Kind of bland. After much tweaking, it turned out to be a good soup.

South African Melktert (Milk Tart)

Light flavor, not too decadent. Good for a light dessert. Warning- the freezer dries it out so try avoid freezing this dessert.

Baklava

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2013
Very Tasty. I used extra instructions from both reviewers sandra lee and Elena. Everything seemed to work out very well, saving some time and work. It tastes even better with pure honey (raw and uncooked). A mixture of pecans and almonds is also fantastic! I'll definitely use this recipe again.
