Crustless Spinach Quiche

Reviewed: Jan. 12, 2013
I love this one as a base/starter.. There are just so many things that can be done with it... the first time I made it I made as directed only using what cheese i had in the fridge... today I doubled it using half the cheese and spinach, part cheese blend and mozzeralla, again using half, 2/3 package cooked crumbled bacon, found some broccoli in the freezer chopped it, and 1 raw carrot very finely chopped, poured into a large baking pan and half hour later have an amazing dish all my guys will eat.. I hear this freezes well but I wouldnt know we never have any left.. Even my picky 18 yo loves this and he dosent eat anything unless its in a bun... LOL. thanks so much for a great recipe that I can adapt to fit tastes and whatever I have in the fridge and freezer

Irish Bacon And Cabbage Soup

Reviewed: Mar. 17, 2014
Well I didn't have exact ingredients, so I went with what I had... Scaled it uo to make more.. About 1 1/2 pound choped and cooked regular bacon Diced the potatoes Used a large can diced tomatoes Chopped a small onion caramelized it in some of the bacon grease. Had cooked regular cabbage I brought home from work. Simmered potatoes, tomatoes and chicken broth til potatoes were almost done added my "bacon bits" simmered about 5 more minutes.. then added chopped cooked cabbage.. didn't have quiet enough liquid so I used a bouillon cube and a couple more cups of water... This all came together beautifully. And even the boys loved it... And the best part was the cost. $6.00 or so and I got a decent size pot of soup that everyone actually liked

Puff Pastry

Reviewed: Jan. 10, 2015
Talk about easy.. Wow. I did cut the butter back to about 3/4 cup and it still came out great.. I used it to make cherry turnovers but due to my ineptness turned out more like pockets, but hey the flavor is what counts right?! Got 12 so it worked out good for one can of pie filling, saved and will prob be my go to for crusts of all kinds, I can totally see changing the flavor by simply changing up the liqiud, can't wait to try more "pies"
