Lemon Sugar Tea Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 7, 2011
These lemony cookies were sweet, chewy, and delicious! Our entire family enjoyed this perfect summer snack, which was a delightful change from the usual sugar cookie. Followed directions exactly, only rolled in half sugar, half yellow sugar sprinkles for fun and color.

Caley's Classic Zucchini Bread

Reviewed: Jun. 30, 2011
I have baked this zucchini bread twice within one week, now, and it is absolutely delicious. My three kids are already asking me to bake it again. The first time, I made no changes, and the bread was perfect - sweet, hearty, and nutty with the perfect amount of cinnamon. The second time, I replaced 1/3 of the sugar with Splenda, andit was equally delicious, if a tiny bit too sweet.

Vanilla Wafers II

Reviewed: Jun. 24, 2011
Delicious, crispy, buttery little cookies! I followed the recipe exactly. However, after chilling the dough for several hours, I found that it was far too sticky to roll out, even with parchment paper or a bit of extra flour. So, like previous posters, I whipped out my pastry bag and piped out the dough directly onto the cookie sheet. It took a bit more work that way, but the result was a few batches of delicious cookies which tasted exactly like vanilla wafers should. Perfect afternoon snack for my kids and their friends, who could not stop munching them.

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Reviewed: Jul. 16, 2010
My 3 kids and I thought this was the tastiest banana bread ever! Nice and moist, and absolutely delicious. Only small changes we made were room temp butter instead of melted, and plain yogurt instead of sour cream, which is what we had on hand. Yummers!

Pumpkin Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 20, 2010
Excellent recipe! My 8yr. old helped me to bake these cookies to share with friends at a family get-together. They were soft and chewy, with a perfect flavor. We followed the recipe exactly, and also added chopped walnuts. The adults and children all enjoyed them, and we plan to bake more soon.

Best Butternut Squash Soup Ever

Reviewed: Oct. 28, 2009
My family absolutely loved this soup, and so did I! Mostly, I did everything the same, though I did pre-steam my squash in the microwave first. Also, I added about 1 cup of heavy cream before pureeing, since I really love a creamy soup. Finally, I garnished the tops of each bowl with some cooked, crumbled bacon. Perfect!

Christmas Breakfast Sausage Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2008
I have made this casserole every Christmas morning since my kids were very small. This year, I considered making something different, but my three kids were horrified. This delicious and savory casserole has become as important a Christmas morning tradition as unwrapping gifts. It is easy to make, filling, and the perfect dish to offset all the sweets and cookies my kids inevitably eat throughout the morning. I have never modified the recipe - it is just right as is.

Fairy Bread

My son's second grade class was studying Australia. We made this fairy bread to share with his class (complete with new vocabulary--100s and 1000s). It was a tremendous hit, and so simple to make with kids!

Egg Noodles

Exactly what I was looking for! The noodles have a wonderful texture and are the perfect addition to my homemade broth-based soups. The dough is easy to work with, and my children love to help shape it into noodles.
