This recipe is amazing. I don't really like whole, or even chopped, diced or crushed tomatoes. So, the tomato juice is great for the taste. the only thing different that i do is double the Cheyenne pepper, to add a little more kick, and add a couple of whole chipolte peppers to get a deeper taste. I cook this chili at least once every year, and everyone always loves it.
