About this Cook
I am am very much like both of my grandmothers, in that I like to cook very much. My mother started me in the kitchen when I was young, baking and making simple dinners. Over the past few years, I have really just loved being in the kitchen. I love experimenting, trying new recipes, and tweaking with certain recipes to make them more my taste. I love creating something that people will hoepefully enjoy.
My favorite things to cook
I have a sweet tooth, so I really like to bake yummy sweet things. Right now, I really like to experiment with Thai recipes, and just about any Asian dish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Cooking for holidays! Now I am in charge of cooking many dishes for holiday dinners to help my mother out. I love holiday dinners, because the whole family, pets and all, are together.
My cooking triumphs
My first dinner party! And a few after that. I like to entertain, even though I haven't gotten to much lately.
My cooking tragedies
I have only started one small fire, and it wasn't all my fault.

Baked Dijon Salmon
I was a little skeptical to make this b/c of some of the reviews. I also was concerned to flavors would overpower the salmon-I usually just mainade it. However! I thought this was so very good! I followed recipe exactly-except didn't have fresh parsley, so I used dried-and it was wonderful! I cannot wait to make this dish again!!!! Watch out, you may get addicted to this one!

Grilled Salmon I
This is an excellent marinade for salmon. It is very good. Marinate for as long as you can, the longer the better. I cannot wait to make this again.

Juicy Roasted Chicken
This was my very first ever roasted chicken and I was so proud how it turned out! I used real butter-I don't ever use margarine-and maybe next time will take the advice of another reviewer and use half as much. I did add some onion and garlic inside it, that is only changes I made. I cooked breast side down-never done this chicken thing before-but then read on here someone did that to make the breast meat juicier, and it appears to have worked. My mom and husband loved it, there just wasn't enough left over. This was so easy I can't wait to cook it again.
