Definite Comfort Food--Great for a Rainy Day!! I substituted the cream of potato with cream of chicken soup. Also, I added 1 cup of diced ham--made it a great main dish! This will be a regular in our house!

Turtle Cheesecake from Nestle® Nesquik™

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2004
This is the best cheesecake I've made yet! I would suggest adding only 1 1/2 cups of the batter to the melted chocolate chips so that there is more yellow batter in the cheesecake. Also, be careful to only use the given amounts of chocolate syrup and carmel sauce--too much makes it a mess.

Easy Peach Cobbler

Reviewed: Mar. 9, 2004
The cream cheese and cake mix make this recipe rich and delicious. I used two large can of peaches instead of fresh peaches. Also, I substituted brown sugar for white sugar. I blended the cream cheese, cake mix and butter with a pastry blender to make sure it was well blended. Also, I added 1/2 t. of nutmeg with the cinnamon. Very Yummy!

Chicken Pot Pie Soup

YUMMY! Total comfort food!! Great for a rainy day or a good substitute for real chicken pot pie. I used canned chicken because I was in a hurry. Also, I served it with canned crescent rolls. Very fast prep!!

Easy Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2006
Great recipe to take when you forgot you needed a dessert!! I bought ingredients and assembled at work in a foil pan. Very easy and Very kid-friendly. I doubled the ice cream sandwiches to 24 (as noted in other reviews). Also, I used Reese's pieces crushed as the topping. In the future, I'll probably try the other topping suggestions in the other reviews.

Super Hot Cereal Mix

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2006
This is a great way to make a hot breakfast very INEXPENSIVE, very HEALTHY and very EASY. I double the recipe and we only eat 1/2 cup serving each morning so it lasts for 2 weeks. I mix it in a 2 gallon freezer bag. I've added walnuts and/or almonds to give it more texture. **Update, I recently started adding 3 t. cinnamon and 1 c. wheat germ to the double batch. Much more flavor and sticks with you longer.

Raspberry Trifle

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2006
This is an elegant dessert to bring to a party! I brought it to two baby showers and got rave reviews. Great presentation in a trifle bowl. I substituted cool whip topping for the heaving whipping cream and sugar--just too much work. The last time I made it I had to use strawberries and it was not as good. Also, this serves a lot of people.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff I

Best Beef Stroganoff Recipe EVER! The cream cheese does it! I don't usually like mushroom soup but it was great with this. I served with egg noodles, peas and rolls. Very Yummy!

BLT Dip

Reviewed: Sep. 13, 2006
The first time I made this there was too much mayo. Round two I made some adjustments: added 1 c. sour cream; substituted 1 can petite diced tomato (drained in colander well; instead of fresh tomato); added 2 green onions and 1/2 t. garlic powder. I let this chill for 2 hours and served with 1 loaf wheat bread toasted and cut into 4 triangles. This easily served a crowd of 20. It tasted just like the BLT sandwich I had been craving! This recipe went from one of my least favorites to one of my new favorites! YUM!!!

Dijon Mashed Potatoes

Reviewed: Oct. 4, 2006
Very yummy twist on mashed potatoes! This recipe took 20 min start to finish and very little effort. It reminds me of potato salad with the mustard flavor. I froze some of this b/c it made a lot for just two people.

Chicken Wing Dip

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2006
I brought this to a singles party and it was a huge hit. It was very easy to assemble and used ordinary ingredients. I served it with tortilla chips. Also, I used light ingredients and it still tasted awesome. I will definitely add this to my list of favorites!

Warm and Spicy Autumn Punch

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
Great for fall parties! I used this at a baby shower and got many compliments. Basically this is a cider recipe. But the floating oranges make for a great presentation. Can easily be doubled for large groups. We had a party of 34 and this recipe served all well.

Feta Cheese Foldovers

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
I made this for a baby shower and it was a big hit! But I made several changes to give it more color and flavor, per other people's suggestions. I used garlic/herb feta cheese and added 2 T. chopped black olives, 1/2 c. toasted almond slices, 1/4 c. roasted red peppers, chopped and one more egg. Also, I used phyllo shells instead of the pastry dough. This was MUCH EASIER! I scooped 1 t. into each shell and baked at 350 for 5-8 min. The colorful ingredients made for a great presentation in the shells. I recommend buying 60 shells (4 boxes) for this recipe. Also, I made the feta mixture ahead of time and froze it. Then thawed overnight before baking and serving.

Cheesy Italian Tortellini

Reviewed: Nov. 15, 2006
We loved this yummy recipe! I made the following changes to suit our taste: used 1 1b. mild italian sausange (omitted ground beef), use 1 28 oz. jar spaghetti sauce (instead of marinara sauce), used sliced black olives instead of mushrooms, added 1/4 c. chopped green pepper, 1/2 c. chopped onion and 2 t. minced garlic. Also, I only cooked it for 3-4 hours on low. I may add more tortellini next time. It was a lot of sauce and meat. I served with garlic bread and caesar salad.

Easiest Peanut Butter Fudge

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2006
Well, this goes down as my first kitchen fire! The brown sugar/butter mixture boiled over onto my burner and actual flames came up. Wow! Nonetheless, this recipe came out okay, I think. It ended up making 2.5 pans but maybe I should have put more in each pan. The consistency still isn't firm (it was in the fridge overnight). But I have never been very successful with fudge making (that's why I picked one called "Easiest"). At any rate, most of my problems are user issues, not the recipe. I guess I'll stick with store-bought fudge!

I have attempted several fudge recipes (one of them just last night) with no success until this recipe! This fudge recipe truly is fool proof and fits in the size pan that it calls for. YEAH!
