Homemade Fresh Cheese

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
Awesome! I used white vinegar and the cheese doesn't taste like vinegar at all. My whey seemed milky looking the first time, so I reheated just the whey again to 195, added 1/8 c more vinegar and made about a cup of firmer more set up cheese from what I missed the first time! It even didn't taste like vinegar. The whey came out totally clear and yellowish after that. Thanks so much for posting this great recipe!

Jalapeno Popper Spread

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2009
I really liked this and I didn't even follow the directions! I guess it's a very forgiving recipe. I used canned jalapeno pickled slices and although it really didn't taste like a popper, it was a very good dip. Thanks for the recipe!

Barbecued Beef

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2009
Another good idea...double the sauce ingredients, cook the meat as stated in the crock pot. Then brown a couple pounds of hamburger and add it along with the meat during the last hour or so of cooking. You can stretch this recipe to feed more like 20 and it's economical too!

Barb's Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins

Reviewed: Nov. 5, 2009
These muffins have a good flavor but you have to eat them as soon as they cook or they get tough/dry due to lack of oil. They have a good flavor but I think they really need some oil added for texture. I've made these several times before deciding what was wrong.

Apple Cake V

Reviewed: Aug. 24, 2009
Everyone who tried this loved it! I left out the nuts, and I thought it might be too much oil, so I just put in the one cup of oil and put in milk for the other 1/4 cup of oil. It turned out great! Thanks for submitting this great recipe

Nany's Cheesy Cauliflower Casserole

Reviewed: Nov. 2, 2008
I really liked this recipe. I did make the changes that others suggested and also because I didn't have the cheddar cheese I used velveeta. It was really good using 1/2 of the mayo, regular milk instead of evaporated, and velveeta. This was taken to a church carry in and everyone liked it. Thanks for the great recipe!

Pumpkin Butter

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
I didn't have apple juice so I just peeled an apple and added 1/2 cup of water to the recipe and the apple. It was great! Thanks for the recipe. I was selling pumpkins and had a couple that the stems broke off of and I used them and the folks at the church bazaar really liked this. thanks again

Baked Whole Cauliflower

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
This was pretty, a great presentation, and great tasting too. I've made it twice so far, and we only had leftovers once because I used a huge amish head of cauliflower that weighed three lbs. Thanks for the recipe!

Noodles Mexicana

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
I got on here one day and just wanted a different recipe to use up some noodles and hamburger. What I ended up was a family favorite. I changed the recipe just a little to fit my ingredients I had by using a quart jar of tomato juice (I can my own), 12 ounce bag of noodles instead of 16 oz., and home frozen corn (2c) instead of a can of corn. And so far we've made this three times in a month and everyone loves it. thanks again!

Soft Oatmeal Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
These are really really good. They are good if you add raisins, they are good if you add chocolate chips, cinnamon chips, butterscotch chips, or just a glass of milk! Thank you for a recipe that would deserve 7 stars!

Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
This is another recipe that I thank you for sharing. This is absolutely the very best chocolate chip cookie recipe I've ever made. They turned out just perfect, like you said, chewy, crispy, and they were gone within 12 hours! Thank you so much --I'd give these 7 stars if I could

Oatmeal Peanut Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2007
If I could give this recipe 7 stars I would! These are just the best cookies! I just used cheap margarine, 1/2 chunky and 1/2 creamy peanut butter and cooked them just until they started to brown a little bit and then took them out and let them cool on the cookie sheet 5 minutes to finish developing. These are chewy and sweet but not too sweet and just Awesome! thanks for sharing your recipe...

Sirloin Tips and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Dec. 5, 2007
This is one I've made several times now, and we always love it. You can brown the strips and then put it in the crockpot to finish. I've also added more wine, and then added a can of cream of mushroom soup to thicken it slightly. That's great too. You can make more sauce by using tomato puree instead of sauce, and thicken it with some cornstarch too if you need to stretch this recipe further. Awesome and thank you for sharing!

Pasta Salad I

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2007
This is a great basic recipe which you can tweak out according to individual tastes, I backed off on some of the carrots, broccoli and cauliflower, added olives and a dash of oregano and garlic powder and it was great, too. Thanks for sharing your recipe!
