Swedish Meatballs I

I too used frozen meataballas from Costco (yum) put 2 cans of golden mushroom (much better than cream of mush) 2 cans of cream of chicken, 1 can evaporated milk, sour cream, worteschire sauce, a dash of red wine (I drank the rest) some garlic salt and lots of pepper. All in the crockpot and then put in frozen meatballs. Stirred the pot and sat back and let it cook. Spooned over egg noodles and it is the best comfort food ever! Have a nice salad and pretend it is healthy Darcie

Cheeseburger Meatloaf

This is very good. I have made this many times. I use turkey meat because I prefer it. I divide it in half and layer pepper jack cheese and fresh chopped broccoli then put the other half of meat mixture on top and seal the edges. Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans. Very good!!

Chicken With Mushrooms

This is some dang good comfort food. I followed directions but I also added in other posters ideas and it was really good. Good enough for company. I used Panko for bread crumbs and added garlic salt and rosemary and oregano to the mix. Cooked breaded chicken till brown on both sides, removed to a plate. In same pan with leftover panko I put a little more olive oil and sauteed the mushrooms with galic and some white wine. In a bowl I mixed a can of cream of mushroom soup and the chicken broth. Stirred it around and dumped in the bottom of baking pan of which I had sprayed some Pam. Put Chicken on top of the soup mixture and poured the fresh mushroom and wine mix on top of the browned chicken. Covered with foil and baked for 20. Took off foil and put swiss cheese slices on top and baked another ten minurtes. I did not serve with noodles just trying to save some calories. I will put some green bean with it instead.

Swiss Chicken Casserole I

I really enjoyed this. I did it in the crock pot as well. Layered the raw chicken in the bottom and sprinked paprika and garlic salt. I then put a slice of canadian bacon on top of each breast and then the sliced swiss cheese. Poured the cream of chicken over that. Sauteed onion, garlic (lots) and mushrooms in olive oil and butter and added it to the stuffing Pepperidge farm mixture along with white wine and milk both. Poured that on top of the chicken and cooked on low for three or four hours. Was very very tasty! Served with cranberrys and green beans. I will def make this again.

Incredibly Cheesy Turkey Meatloaf

I LOVE meatloaf. Could not get my family to ever eat it so I went without for years until this recipe. I much prefer turkey over the gr beef. I did make changes because there are so many ideas. I used 1lb of good gr. turkey..next time i will use 2lb. 1 egg some garlic powder, montery steak seasoning, sea salt and wort sauce (sorry cant spell wortschire right) In meantime sauted a mixture of finely chopped onion and garlic in olive oil. Added white sliced mushrooms to the onion mixture with garlic salt and a nice drop of red wine. Poured half the mushroom onion mixture to the turkey meat and about 1 cup panko bread crumbs. Mix well spread half the meat mixture in a glass baking dish. Layered fresh baby spinach leaves, the rest of the onion mushroom mixture and about 3 slices of pepper jack cheese. ThenI spread the rest of the turkey mixture on top and sealed edges. Baked or 3o and added a glaze of ketchup, mustard and wort sauce and baked for another 3o at 350. served with mashed potatoes. No veg needed cuz the spinach and mushrooms are baked in the turkey loaf. This is the best ever. Thank you for sharing.

Tropical Grilled Pork Chops

There were the best pork chops. I made this recipe so much easier by using Mango Papaya Salsa from trader joes. Other than that I followed exactly. Had a salad with balsomic dressing and fresh tomatoes from the garden and yellow rice.

Alaskan Halibut Lasagna

This was a basic recipe for me which I added to. I followed exactly BUT I added sauted shrimp and scallops used Mahi Mahi cuz that's what I had and squeezed fresh lemon over the seafood I added some red pepper flakes to sauce and threw in some fresh spinach over the sauce then layerd the swiss cheese over the spinach. I used no boil lasagna. This was fantastic but expensive.

Swiss Cheese Meatloaf

I love meatloaf and I am the only one in the family that eats it. However, this was eaten with zest. I did make a couple changes based on what I had. I chopped onion and garlic together and added some fresh chopped basil to the mix. I used turkey meat so added some wortshire sauce. I also used panko because I didn't have crackers. I love swiss cheese so this was a great meal for me.

Awesome Slow Cooker Pot Roast

i made this true to recipe. 2 cans cream of mushroom 1 envelope onion soup and I did add one envelope of Au jous. I added rosemary and tyme. I did not brown and it was fantasice. I did put in red potatoes, onion and carrots in the bottom of the crock pot. Really really good pot roast and I was skeptical.

Slow Cooker Split Pea Sausage Soup

This is the best split pea soup I have ever made. I used Spicy Italian sausage. In my chopper I chopped on one leek and baby carrots and garlic. I used chicken broth instead of water. Thank you for this wonderful recipe.

Blackened Tuna Steaks with Mango Salsa

I cheated I used a bottle of apricot Mango chipotle. Did everything else the same. Lot's less work and expense for me. I sliced some fresh avacados coz there in season. Was a fancy looking dish and looked like I spent a lot of time in the kitchen. Healthy too!!

Tuna Noodle Casserole from Scratch

Finally a recipe without soup!! I am a purist for my tuna casserole no onion, no mushrooms and no celery. i melt less butter with the flour and milk an and add sliced sharp cheddar till it melts pour over noodles add peas and chrushed potato chips on top and you have the best comfort meal ever.

Slow-Cooker Barbecue Ribs

Best crock pot barbq ever. I used 1 cup ketchup to one cup (Jack Daniels) barbq. Followed the rest of the recipe exactly. Last 20 minutes or so I threw in oven so sauce would carmelize. This was great!

Balsamic Chicken and Fresh Mozzarella

This was fabulous!! I browned it on the stove after marinating for 24 hours with balsamic garlic vinagar salad dressing. Turned heat down and let chicken simmer till cooked through. Put some shredded motz cheese and frest tomato from my garden and sprigs of basil from my garden. Served on a bed of spinach. So good and healthy.

Slow Cooker Beef Stroganoff II

I have made this many times. The secret to the best stroganoff is to use a tri tip roast. Brown the tri tip and put in the crock pot with some sliced onions and water and some red wine. After 8 hours it shreds and makes your house smell wonderful. Sautee some mushrooms and add to the pot. This cut meat does not need the soup. you can add an envelope of stroganoff seasoning.
