Peppered Shrimp Alfredo

Reviewed: Aug. 29, 2013
We followed it to the letter, with the exception of using half and half instead of heavy cream. I will definitely make this again, but without the cayenne. We LOVE spicy things, but this was a bit too much for us.

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Dec. 1, 2011
WOW! Made this for Thanksgiving, and I will DEFINATLY make this again! I had many many compliments on the turkey, there was hardly any left, my husband was disapointed! Made mostly as is, but added more rosemary (and put a couple sprigs inside of the bird with some lemon quarters) and used 2x the amount of olive oil.

Chicken with Garlic, Basil, and Parsley

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
Was sort of bland! Next time I will add more seasoning to it, such as Mrs Dash or something else.

Tuna Salad With Fresh Dill

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2011
I didn't add Yogurt, so I used just Mayo (olive oil mayo), and did not add the celery. I did add some dill pickle relish, as I love pickles. Was good enough to make again, but nothing special. I might add some diced hard boiled egg next time.

Strawberry Oatmeal Breakfast Smoothie

Reviewed: Sep. 14, 2011
I made this smoothie this morning! WOW! Best one I've had in a while! Very Filling! I did what others sugguested and ground the oats in my coffee grinder first, and since I'm allergic to soy, I used 2% milk, and had mixed frozen berries, so I used them in place of just strawberries. Very good, and the way I made it, there are 268 calories per serving, so good all the way around!

Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken

Reviewed: Apr. 21, 2011
Was great, but next time I think I will add more ginger, maybe doubling the amount, and using regular soy sauce instead of lite. It needed a bit more salt (hence the soy) and a bit more "zip". Other than that, it was great! My husband almost inhaled it and was thrilled to take leftovers for lunch today!

Jo's Rosemary Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 5, 2011
LOVE the bread! When I saw that it was supposed to be like Macaroi Grille, I knew I had to try it! Made as listed, with the exception of adding Vital Wheat Gluten and used fresh Rosemary instead of dried. VERY tasty, especially with dipping oil/spices, but a bit dense.

Baked Tilapia with Garlic and Herb Oil

Reviewed: Mar. 29, 2011
I ususally don't make a recipe with such few reviews on here, but I needed a quick recipe last night, and so I pulled this together. I made it as listed, except I only had a regular white onion and I had an extra fish filet (my husband likes more meat, LOL). It did take about 10 minutes to cook through, but that's fine with me, still a quick meal. It was WONDERFUL! Even my two picky kids (3 and 6) ate the fish! Definatly a recipe I will repeat!

Buttery Rolls

Reviewed: Dec. 25, 2010
On Christmas morning, I realized that I was supposed to bring rolls to the family dinner, but had forgotten to buy some at the store the day before and the roads were too icey to go again. So I hopped on AR and found these rolls. They turned out soooooo good that the family (my in-laws) voted that I would bring rolls from now on! Made per the recipe, did add a bit more warm water, but then a pinch of flour when it was too much water. Great rolls!

Pizza Crust for the Bread Machine II

Reviewed: Nov. 8, 2010
I followed the recipe, but also the top review on this page too, EVO in place of veg oil, and the vital wheat gluten, plus oregano, PERFECT crust! Love it!

Amanda's Stuffed Peppers

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
I changed this up a bit, but it was great, and even my picky 5 year old ate it! Use Italian sausage in place of ground beef, and more mushrooms, it's worth it. I sauteed the mushrooms, onion and garlic in EVO before adding the meat and browning (I too fear undercooking). Add the spaghetti sauce, bread crumbs and cheese, heat and filled the peppers. It was great, and I wish I had made more, I would love another!

Rosemary Lemon Grilled Chicken

Reviewed: Mar. 16, 2010
All in all, a great recipe, but I think the lemon waaay overpowered the rosemary. I did use real butter, and it DOES make a difference, people! I also think that melting the mixture and pouring over the chicken did better than rubbing in the gooey mess. I only marinated for about 20 min, and it was more than enough!

Blackened Shrimp Stroganoff

Reviewed: Mar. 2, 2010
I wanted something different for dinner, but didn't have time to run to the store to get what I was missing, so I made do with what I had. I had frozen, cooked shrimp, which I thawed and still cooked for the 3 minutes as directed. I only had canned mushrooms, but I drained them, and I used minced garlic since I had no shallots as was recommended in another review. No bell peppers either, so I just omitted them. Oh, and I used elbow maceroni, as it was the pasta I had in the pantry! Overall, and since I butchered it, LOL, it went over well and my husband took seconds! Would love to try it as the recipe calls for it!

Mom's Pretzels

Reviewed: Oct. 26, 2009
Though the making of the dough was easy enough, these pretzels baked up hard as rocks on the outside and really odd on the inside. The taste of the dough was great, and it was simple enough to make, but don't make these expecting soft pretzels like at the mall.
