Amazing Chicken

Reviewed: Jun. 3, 2011
This is just so easy. Have made it so many times, it works with any part of the chicken (cook longer for bone-in chicken), and works great with FISH!

Roasted Brussels Sprouts

Reviewed: May 27, 2010
Hello Sprouts! I started a diet and have done great and just needed to introduce more veggies, gave it a Try, and what a flavor. My grandmother was right, it is NOT that you don't like vegetables, you just don't like the way they were prepared. I did not use salt because of the diet so I seasoned with Mrs. Dash. What everyone says is TRUE the toasted leaves YUMMY, the roasted brussels are just so delicious WHO KNEW???

Rosemary Roasted Turkey

Reviewed: Nov. 19, 2007
This will be my 5th year making this turkey. The only thing I do, not mentioned in the recipe, is that I brine the turkey. You'll never have a dry turkey. Some years ago guests brought some other meat as my family-and my husband's did not care for turkey. After this recipe, I got stuck every year cooking the turkey and the best complement: NO-ONE BRINGS OTHER MEATS ANYMORE!!!!! Give it a try!

Cake and Ice Cream Cake

Reviewed: Feb. 10, 2006
Great recipe! As suggested by other reviewers, I sliced the angel food cake with a serrated knife and then… Just pick your favorite ice cream and toppings and go crazy! Do prepare the day before and put on the freezer, take it out when you serve dinner or about a ½ an hour before you need to serve it. I’ve made this three (3) times and friends keep asking me to make more! You can make a sauce to complement the ice cream you used, if you want to be fancy and/or the occasion demands it (use chocolate syrup for kids!). Last time (for a friend’s 40th) I used strawberry sauce (laced with wine) to soak the cake, it was really nice. Thank you! I don’t have to bake cakes anymore!!!!!

Georgian Green Beans

Reviewed: Jan. 27, 2004
It was 2004 when I first reviewed this recipe. As suggested by others added bacon, and sauteed the onion and garlic in some bacon fat. I'm still making them, I have two kids now and this is only 1 of two vegetables they will eat! This is the first time I leave a review (shame on me I use this site all the time) Everyone loved these green beans, I was pressed for time so I used french cut green beans, cooked them completely and added all other ingredients as per the recipe except the chicken broth (I did not want a sauce )my cousin - as he was serving himself again- kept saying how he just did not like green beans. I've read comments like this before and never got such results, but this time I did! Try it! The vinegar, sweet taste of the red onion and bacon just make it a great side dish, I've made it twice in the last two weeks because my husband asked me to! HE DOES NOT EAT VEGGIES!
