Pammy's Slow Cooker Beans

Reviewed: Nov. 16, 2010
These beans were good but I altered the recipe a bit. I didn't have a spare smoked turkey laying around so I used chopped leftover ham instead. Tasted great! I also added Paula Deen's House Seasoning to the beans when I added the olive oil. Wasn't sure how the olive oil would taste, but it turned out great. I usually make my beans on the stove top and add vegetable oil. I also cooked the beans on high the whole time which gave me more of a "pot liquor" which I love to sop up with my corn bread. I will surely be making these again. :)

Old-Fashioned Roasted Pecans

Reviewed: Dec. 18, 2009
OH MY GOODNESS! Still in the process of making these, but had to taste a sample! SO glad I did! They are indeed toooo yummy! These will surely make wonderful gifts at this time of year. I, too, doubled the egg white and split the sugars w/ brown and white. I also split the flavorings...half vanilla and half almond (instead of water) and added a bit more cinnamon. Delish! I'm making two more double batches! Thanks for the recipe! :)

AWESOME recipe! It's not overly sweet and you can really taste the potatoes! My kids who have an aversion to veggies LOVED it! Will definately be making it again!

Crab Cakes III

What an incredibly easy crab cake recipe this is! I used wheat Ritz crackers and added about a half cup of sliced scallions. I will definately be making these again. My husband had four of these little suckers! YUM-MY!

Easy Lasagna III

Reviewed: Apr. 2, 2006
This WAS an easy and quick recipe for your basic lasagna, HOWEVER, I did alter it a bit! :) I added chopped onion and 3 cloves minced fresh garlic to the ground beef while it was browning, along with a teaspoon or so of Paula Deen's House Seasoning (Jane's Krazy Mixed Up Salt and pepper would work, too). After the beef was browned, I sauteed a small bag of fresh baby spinach in garlic and olive oil and added it to the layers. I also added the House Seasoning to the cottage cheese mixture and used bottled pasta sauce instead of the other. My picky 5 yr old daughter actually asked for "MORE MASAGNA"! It was flavorful and I was able to sneak some green in for my picky eater! Will definately make this again! :)

The Ultimate Chili

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2006
My family and I absolutele LOVE this slow cooker chili recipe!!!! I did alter it a bit, though. Instead of the three cans of kidney beans, I used one can kidney, one can black and one can garbanzo beans and omitted the red wine at the end of the recipe, as it was juicy enough. BOTH my picky children ask for leftovers as a chili frito pie. It's ever-so-easy! I highly recommend it! ENJOY!

Corn Pudding V

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2005
This dish was delicious after I altered it a bit. I added two eggs to the batter, as I wanted a dish more similar to pudding than cornbread. I also baked it in a 9x13 dish as opposed to a casserole so that it would cook more evenly. I will definately be making this again.

These cookies are a breeze to make and are so delicious! My picky, picky 4 yr old LOVES them! Did I tell her oats are in the recipe!? I THINK NOT! :) They're tender crisp on the outside and oh-so-soft yummy in the center! I added 1/2c semi sweet chocolate chips and 1/2c chopped peanuts to the dough. I will surely make these again! Thanks!

Banana Bread I

Reviewed: May 24, 2005
SO incredibly moist and full of flavor. I did add 1 t of vanilla to the batter, though, plus 3/4 c chopped walnuts. I also baked it in a bundt cake pan and the actual bake time was only 35 min. Keep an eye on it while baking...it may not take an hour. I'll definately make it again.

Butter Rich Spritz Butter Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 23, 2004
YUMMY! AND FINALLY I've found a Spritz cookie recipe I will keep FOREVER!! :) I did modify the recipe, though, by using only 1/4t almond flavoring and 1/4 t vanilla flavoring. There was no bitter after-taste, only the melt-in-your-mouth taste of buttery spritz. The confectioner's sugar also makes this cookie very smooth. GREAT recipe! It's a definate keeper!

Chicken Suiza Cornbread Bake

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2004
This dish was great! Even my picky family enjoyed it! I took the advice of a few others and used the cream of mushroom soup and sour cream (omitted the mushrooms-my picky family HATES them). Will definately make this again! Makes a great meal served with a tossed salad.
