Quick Pasta Sauce

Reviewed: Apr. 3, 2012
Often times I veer from the original recipe. I had NO time and NO jar sauce on hand. So, I followed the recipe and found it to be simply perfect. No more jar sauce, as this will be my last minute standby for a no fuss meal. Thanks for sharing.

Creamy Au Gratin Potatoes

Reviewed: Apr. 16, 2011
Simply Perfect! Like other reviewers I would recommend and extra 1/2 cup of cheese. (I prefer x-sharp cheddar.) Also, microwave the potato slices for 8 minutes prior to baking as another had recommended. Allows the mixture to be creamier w/ less cooking time. Lastly, remove cover to brown top, as someone else advised. Combined all 3 recommendations and it was Simply PERFECT!

Rachael's Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 8, 2011
Gave it 5 stars considering the easiness and ingredients. Taste is a above average. Delicate flavor. I was very limited w/ what I had in the house and w/ the search engine found this recipe. Great to serve w/ a rice pilaf. Probably would not try to impress guests w/ it. Perfect for any meal at home w/ family members. Cooked chicken in 1/2 olive oil and 1/2 butter before adding additional ingredients.

Creamy French Dressing

Reviewed: Apr. 17, 2008
In my area I cannot find all natural and or organic french dressing; which is our favorite flavor of dressing. The ingredients in this paticular recipe allowed me to have a wonderful french dressing FREE of any unnatural ingredients, especially FREE of high fructose corn syrup. Simply done by usng sugar in the raw, organic ketchup and organic worcestershire sauce. Tangy, but a bit sweet. For those of you who want a less sweeter dressing, use less (raw)sugar to taste.

Spicy Sweet Potatoes

Thanks to Lynn T. London for the great recipe. Also, thanks for Tasha for letting people know they can use a container; instead of plastic. Followed recipe as directed. The only exception was using a washable container. A side note: This is a side dish of sweet potatoes and is 5 ***** quality.

Croutons

I no longer buy croutons. I make them. My guests are disappointed when I have them for dinner and salad with croutons are not part of the menu plan. Thanks for the recipe.

Homemade Mac and Cheese

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2006
Editable yes, but very bland. The only tip from the recipe I actually liked was adding paparika to the topping mixture. Otherwise, I suggest following the advice of others. #1 Either don't bother making it or #2 chance the recipe entirely by adding more cheese, ETC.

Blueberry Buckle

Reviewed: Feb. 15, 2006
Great coffee cake. As suggested by "Taylor" and a few others I used the shortening as directed. Then omitted 1/2 cup flour, added 1/2 tsp vanilla and for the crumb topping used a mixture of 1/2 brown sugar and sugar.

Kathy's Delicious Whole Slow Cooker Chicken

Reviewed: Feb. 9, 2005
5 *'s because this a a good tasting (not as a bland as most)crock pot recipe. Of course,if it was an oven recipe you would expect more flavor. However, there are ways to add more flavor, such as adding black pepper and red pepper (thanks wattyz for that suggestion) and to all the others who recommended less oil. I added more of a kick by using HOT sesame oil, instead of regular sesame oil. Be creative, there is also Ginger flavored sesame oil.

Grilled Potatoes and Mushrooms

Reviewed: Jan. 31, 2004
If you follow awesome in the tummy suggestions, it rates a 5 star. Thank you Debbie and Awesome in the tummy. My in-laws loved it! Also, since I live in New England a grill is not handy in the winter. Cruisinbeck suggestions of baking the dish in the oven is excellent. I foiled the pan (top and bottom)and sprayed foil with cooking spray. Baked at 375 for about 60 minutes. Thanks Cruisinbeck for this suggetion, otherwise it would not be until Spring before I tried this dish.
