Creamy Cabbage with Apples and Bacon

Very good with mashed potatoes and breaded pork chops. (We prefered this as a side dish, not as a main course.) Subbed ground corriander for the seeds because that's all I had and used 1/2 as much. Fat free sour cream worked just fine too.

Oven Fried Chicken II

Yum, even without the paprika which I just noticed I forgot. Coated my pan with a little EVOO. Perfect chicken and let everyone choose their own dipping sauce if desired.

Hoagie Dip

Great recipe! Everyone raved and said it tasted like "Cousins Subs" a local sub sandwich chain. I did use more mayo (& used light), red wine vinegar (1 TBL per cup of mayo). I prefer red onions over white and used provolone cheese, diced. This makes a lot so I took a reviewers advice and layered it like a taco salad. That way, IF there is any left the next day the lettuce isn't soggy. You have to try this!

Buffalo Chex® Mix

YUM! 1st attempt ever at making Chex Mix. Read many reviews and opted to bake instead of microwave at 250 for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes. Forgot to add the celery seed - opps! To make sure it was plenty spicy, I used Frank's EXTRA HOT sauce and it's perfect.

Island Kielbasa in a Slow Cooker

Awesome quick recipe. After reading most of the reviews I opted to make on the stove. Reduced brown sugar to 3/4 cup. Simmered with peppers chunks (2 green, 1 red) until tender. Added turkey sausage, pineapple and sliced water chestnuts. Served over rice. Will definitely be making again.

Sweet Pasta Salad

Used others suggestion and left out the sugar. Used 1/2 cider vinegar and 1/2 white only because I ran out. Still tasted awesome. Used up some fresh broccoli and added some chunked cheese. ALSO, used elbow macaroni because it just seems to make more although it probably doesn't. Added the dressing a little at a time. Had about 3/4 of a cup remaining. Added part of that 2 days later with some more veggies. Unique and that's exactly what I was hoping for - Thank you!

Janet's Rich Banana Bread

Only I could not spray a pan properly. Went to shake it out of the pan, it flopped out leaving the crust stuck to the pan! LMAO! Regardless, this is the best, very moist banana bread recipe I've made. It was so good we still picked away at it. Not a crumb wasted. No need to keep looking for the perfect one any longer. Can't wait to make it again and eat slices! Thanks for a great recipe!

Miniature Cheesecakes

Took others advice and left out the nutmeg. I also used light cream cheese and 3/4 cup of sugar. The blueberry pie filling is sweet enough so you don't even notice. Didn't know what to expect with using the light version of cream cheese, but they set up just fine for me. I did bake them about 5 minutes longer, but worth it to make them a bit lighter.

Jalapeno Popper Spread

I tossed all the ingredients into my little mini crock pot. Heated it on low for a couple of hours, stirring occasionally. Used approximately 4-5 ounces of jalapeno peppers and it suited everyone's taste buds. No one complained of it being too spicy. Also used light mayo and light cream cheese. This one will be made again soon!

Chili Rick's

Finally after 20 years of trying to please my husband with a chili - this was it! I reduced the beans to two cans, one dark and one light red kidney beans, only one cup of BBQ sauce, used ground venison and Tennessee Pride Hot sausage tubes. I used slightly more chili powder to finish off the 2.5 ounce spice bottle and it was perfect. I suggest making this the day before you need it to let the flavors blend together more. YUM! Thanks Rick - who knows maybe I'll enter a chili contest like the others :)

Jailhouse Rocks

I made these using 1 1/2 cups white sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar and skipped the water hoping to avoid the flat cookie others were mentioning. Also chilled the dough. Didn't work. They tasted good and were crispy, like the DH prefers. Was planning on making another batch to use up my other bag of Kissables. Think I'll look for another recipe instead...

Chicken Biscuit Bake

This was only OK. The topping that was poured over the biscuits was a little different. If I attempt to make this a second time, I would reduce the amount of celery seed. Also, this didn't reheat very well. The egg mixture that was poured over the biscuits curdled when reheated - almost like scrambled eggs in the areas that it was heavier. Convienent though with the ready made biscuits and the chicken layer was good. Second thought, I don't think I'll make this one again - sorry.

Chicken Cashew Salad

Everyone loved this salad at our last party. I wanted to make a large batch, so I used a one pound box of the large seashell pasta and doubled all of the "sauce" ingredients. Didn't use all of it initially, but added some just before serving and the next day. Next time I may try some adding some red grapes. Thanks for sharing!

Artichoke & Spinach Dip Restaurant Style

If you want rave reviews from your guests - make this dip! Used fresh garlic and put it thru the garlic press and the Light Ragu Alfredo sauce with the light cream cheese. Threw everything in a mini crock pot and served with some bagel chips. Thanks for the great recipe!

Chicken Something

This is a family favorite and I do make adjustments to this recipe to make a huge panful. A lot of versions of this recipe simply don't make enough rice. So I use cream of mushroom and cream of chicken soups, two cans of each (4 cans total) of the 98% Fat Free kind, 4 cups of rice, 2 cups of water and 2 packages of the dry onion soup mix. Top it with as much boneless skinless chicken breasts and thighs I can fit in the pan. I use a huge roasting pan that I spray with baking spray, eliminating the need for butter. Cover and bake at 350 for two hours. Perfect!

Buffalo Chicken Dip

Wow! This is excellent! Took advice of others and went with the blue cheese and didn't use the shredded cheddar. I always look to save on calories and fat. Used Wish Bone Just 2 Good dressing and light cream cheese, served with celery and assorted crackers. Received many compliments and requests for recipe.
