Baked Ziti Supreme

I thought this recipe was a good starter recipe, made it open for more ideas. This is what I did: I used 1 pound of Penne Pasta because that's what I could find. 1 small yellow onion, 3 cloves of garlic, 1 large green pepper, 1 8 oz container of fresh mushrooms. 1 pound of 80% meat 20% fat ground beef, browned and drained, and 1 package of Johnsonville Hot Italian sausage casings removed browned and drained. and Parmesan cheese and mozzarella cheese on top. Bake at a 350 degree oven for 45 minutes also I didn't bake all of it I used half of the mixture to bake and put the rest in the freezer for another time because that made a lot of food, so if you want cut my measurements in half. Pumpkin Chili

So I made quite a few changes, here's what I did: Ingredients: 2 lbs 80% lean 20% fat Ground Beef 1 15 oz can Bush's Dark Kidney Beans 1 15 oz can Bush's Medium Chili Beans 1 Green Bell Pepper 2 Jalapeno Peppers 1 yellow onion 2 cloves minced Garlic 10 oz Pumpkin Puree (pureed the pumpkin myself) 46 oz Tomato Juice 28 oz diced tomatoes 2 1/2 tbsp. Chili Powder 1 tbsp. Ground Cumin 1/2 tsp. Cayenne Pepper 2 tsp. Salt 1/2 tbsp. Pumpkin Pie Spice 1 tbsp. Sugar. With these changes, the chili turned out really good, even better the next day. I thought a 1/4 c of sugar would have been too sweet, and there wasn't enough spices in the orginal recipe. I'd say if you want a medium - low heat in a chili this is the way to go. Stuffed Bell Peppers

I'm not a vegetarian either, but I am cooking for one. We didn't have tofu in our grocery store, so I substituted using black beans, I also added cumin, chili powder and cayenne pepper for a kick. The peppers are currently in the oven and it's making an awesome smell. Thanks for the recipe it was a help.
