Angel Chicken Pasta

Reviewed: Apr. 29, 2004
Definately double the recipe. Make sure to make sauce slow so you don't reduce it. To say it is awesome is an understatement. Had enough leftovers for the next meal. Reviews stated that it might need salt, I didn't think so at all.

Needs more of something. I added whatever I could to make it a "loaded" potatoe.

Just alright. Very simple to make, possibility for an appetizer someday, but not outstanding.

Award Winning Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Dec. 28, 2004
A good chocolate cookie if you like soft ones. I prefer more crunch with a slightly soft interior. I think the pudding mix mad it more cake like, hence the softness.

Brown Sugar Meatloaf

Absolutely loved the flavor. Very moist. I prefer a little bit more of a crisp texture, so next time I think I will add more saltines.

Shrimp and Mushroom Linguini with Creamy Cheese Herb Sauce

Reviewed: Jan. 15, 2005
Awesome. Very rich. Both of us thought that it needed just a pinch of salt to bring out the sea food flavor. Also, we love garlic so we more than doubled the recommended amount. Will make again.

Thought the cook time was a little too long they made them to soft. But the flavor was really good.

Italian-Style Spaghetti Squash

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2005
It's actually not bad. I'm trying a new diet for 10 days which includes fruits, vegetables, and tuna. I did alter the recipe a little by adding garlic and mushrooms to the mix with the zuccini. I didn't measure the cracked black pepper, but I'm guessing I probably added more to the vegetables than the recipe called for. I thought the meal had good flavor, was light, and filling. My boyfriend did enjoy it, however he decided that he doesn't like squash. It reminds him too much of pumpkins.

Urban Legend Chocolate Chip Cookies

Reviewed: Aug. 17, 2005
I had to make these cookies just because of the title. I thought that they were dry and they had too much oats in them for a chocolate chip cookie. I don't think I will ever make them again. My perfect chocolate chip cookie is more crunchy than soft and is not flat. These cookies had no rise. When I took them off the sheet they didn't really have any shape.

Sea Bass with Honeyed Apples

Reviewed: Sep. 27, 2005
Let me begin by saying that I did alter the recipe a little, so my rating may not apply. I did not have sea bass, instead I had Mahi Mahi. Also, I used real butter instead of margerine. Regardless, it was not what I hoped for. The 2 cups of bread crumbs were entirely way too much. I would say that even 1 cup will do. The apples were good, but again way too much for four filets. (maybe my apples were bigger than the recipe called for. I might use the apple part with say some pork chops, but I will never make this again.

Burrito Pie

Reviewed: Mar. 7, 2006
Awesome! I handed this recipe over to my boyfriend to make for dinner and he did a fantastic job. I did read previous reviews and made changes accordingly. I used one and a half pounds of ground meat as well as refried black beans. Next time I will use more spicy green chiles for a little bit more of a kick. I suggest small servings with a dollop of sour cream. Yum!!!

Banana Banana Bread

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2006
I have made this banana bread about a dozen times and every time it comes out a little different. The first time it was the best. I think the variable is the amount of bananas used. My suggestion...use your best judgement. If made correctly definately a five star"er".

Asian Lettuce Wraps

Reviewed: Feb. 14, 2007
Very tasty! Recipe didn't mention the amount of chili paste to add although optional. I added a Tbsp to mixture and left the bottle at the table for optional greater spicey flavor. I also left some plum sauce on the table for conflicting flavor. I also added twice as much garlic and no ginger/ginger root do to lack of. I used organic butter lettuce and loved it. I did notice the high sodium content, possibly due to the brand of soy sauce I used (kikkoman).

Texas Ranch Potato Salad

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
The recipe is definately a good starting point. I am one who loves a lot of flavor. I always prefer to make the recipe the way it is written first, then make changes where I deem necessary. This definately is one of the best potatoe salads I've ever had, however next time I do make it I will change a few things. First make sure you cut the potatoes smaller than requested. Consider other responses to substitute sour cream. Use a quality bacon, maybe a thick cut apple smoked peppercorn one??? Add Kosher salt and generous amounts of pepper. Increase the green onions. In addition, 20 minutes boiling time for the potatoes was not enough for me.

Dee's Roast Pork for Tacos

Reviewed: Aug. 8, 2008
I prepared this in the crockpot for about 5 hours on high. The meat was tender and paired with pan roasted corn; it was awesome. I thought there was far too much chili powder flavor for the pork.
