Great tasting and true comfort food at its next! I omitted the cinnamon and added Old Bay Seasoning for our family's taste preferences. Great Old World recipe :)

Grilled Turkey Cuban Sandwiches

Reviewed: Nov. 30, 2013
I gave this recipe only 4 stars because I had to substitute a few ingredients substitute for the ones I had on hand. I made my own mustard with Dijon, light mayo, and chipotle sauce with smoked jalapenos. The sauce came out great with just the right amount of kick. Next,I used sliced American cheese, whole grain sandwich thins. The sandwiches came out great! I used an iron skillet with a heavy lid. The Butterball turkey roast I had made in the crockpot. I am sure with all the ingredients in this recipe,I would have given it 5 stars, with the exception of my homemade chipotle mustard! Thanks for posting this recipe!

Broccoli Fish Bake

Reviewed: Jul. 18, 2013
I made this recipe because I had some frozen tilapia and I chose this recipe to hide the strong fishy taste of the tilapia that my husband doesn't care for. After reading some of the reviews,I omitted the milk and added plain Greek yogurt, sprinkled the fish with Old Bay seasoning. Added 1/2 cup of a three cheese blend, doubled the bread crumbs,(I used panko crumbs),then I added 1 Tablespoon of chopped fresh tyme, and for the last ingredient I added chopped scallions on the top. Baked it for 25 minutes at 425 degrees in my electric oven. My husband liked it and it hid some if the fishy taste from the tilapia. I will make this again using different fish and I think it would be good with chicken too.

Real Strawberry Cupcakes

Reviewed: Apr. 19, 2013
I liked this recipe and I have replaced this recipe for the fresh strawberry cake recipe I have had for years that used strawberry gelatin as an ingredient. These are better because it has fresh strawberries as the main ingredient. I am going to use cake flour the next time I make these for a lighter cupcake texture. A great flavor boost that was a hit that I tried was to put in a bit of strawberry daiquiri drink mix into the cream cheese frosting. It gave the frosting a nice flavor boost that was a hit when I served these cupcakes at a family reunion. Great recipe!

Leftover Turkey Casserole

Reviewed: Dec. 24, 2012
I tried this recipe after Thanksgiving, and boy was it a winner with my family! The only substitution I made was for the sour cream. I substituted plain Greek non-fat yogurt along with the onion soup mix. I added ALL my leftovers from Thanksgiving, including leftover mashed potatoes and gravy. I layered everything and topped with leftover stuffing. I baked it for 1 hour, and it was DELICIOUS!! This recipe is a keeper!
