I made this blog, because I need an outlet. I've been on diets and lost weight and I've also gained weight back. I have learned that this is because I absolutely love to cook. So eating food that I don't love? It's not going to work. 

I'm a 20-something (vegetarian) woman with a little money and a big love for food. So my goal is to begin to healthify my favorite recipes, indulge every once in a while (I couldn't live without my great grandma's fried bread recipe during the holiday season), and learn to have this be my normal life. All of this is going on while I'm trying to make my way in the world. I would love it if anyone wants to join me on my adventure.

Hello, what is your plans for this diet? Are you going to do a blog every week? Are you going to post recipes or are looking for recipes? I wouldn't mind joining, just need more info. so I would know what to do? I am not a vegetarian, but am always looking for new recipes with lots of vegetables, fruits, and whole grains.

I became vegan about a year ago and it wasn't hard at all. I only miss cheese, so every now and then I sneak some. Actually, it isn't a religion for me, so I don't feel at all guilty. There are some wonderful recipes out there and I love collecting them. I've been introduced to things like wheat berries, bok choy, rice and grain salads, etc. If it isn't delicious, I don't ever fix it again. Just hope that the Menu Planner will help with new ideas. My friends who have also become vegans have lost weight effortlessly, usually about 15 to 20 pounds. That's really fun! You owe it to yourself to check it out. Every couple of weeks, treat yourself to a burger if you must. It's not a sin.

I am looking to do a new blog every week. Just post on how I'm doing and such. I'm always looking for recipes, but I really came on here to post them. I like coming up with things. My plan is to try and eat mostly vegetarian/vegan and cook at home almost every meal. I am 20 (almost 21) so I do go out and there are times when I have to eat different foods. I plan on limiting eating out to twice a week, I only eat chicken, but I plan to cut that out slowly, then cut out dairy slowly. I'm also going to try to drink just water and limit caffein to one serving a day (I love coffee). I don't drink at all, so that's not a problem. And thank you so much!

I believe in healthifying recipes. I've tried diets and have finally realized that just doesn't work for me. I've got to be able to have what I love, just with a twist.

My great grandma used to cook for people who needed food during the great depression. She passed on the tradition of sharing food. Food can be used for good.

I have made vegan recipes that even my sister enjoys. That's a huge triumph.
My cooking tragedies
I am forgetful. There have been many tragedies due to this.
