Simple Caramel Apple Pork Chops

Reviewed: Aug. 26, 2008
My hubby took one bite and said "This is better than Cracker Barrel!" It was really easy, too. I over estimated how long it would take and totally overcooked the apples. But it was still good. I only cooked 2 (big) chops and we,also, ate all the apples. It felt like fall! My only problem was when I removed the apples with my slotted spoon, there was hardly no sauce left to cook down. I drizzled it over my soft apples and never mentioned it to Hubby!

Shrimp Lemon Pepper Linguini

Reviewed: Feb. 22, 2006
Really good and really quick! This was my first time cooking w/ shrimp- and I even cheated! I bought a big bag of precooked shrimp. I thawed them in water, them warmed them through in the oil/garlic sauce. I did not have any wine, just did w/o. We didn't even miss it!

Autumn Spice Ham Steak

Reviewed: Oct. 30, 2005
This worked really well, and was extra easy! When all was done, I turned the stove to low, and it held for a good while (15 min or so) while my hubby decided to come to the table. I halved the recipe and forgot to add cinnamon at the end, but I will not forget next time, I think it will add a little bit more humm.

Vivian's Delight

Reviewed: Jul. 19, 2005
It sounds strange, but it is so tasty and refresfing. I like to use lime jello and pineapple, but my mom always makes this with orange jello and caned oranges. My Hubby dosen't like cottage cheese, and he eats this, i just don't tell him that it is in it, just mention the whip cream.

Salty, but eatable. I used rosted garlic cream of mushroom soup, I would suggest you don't.

AWSOME! If you are thinking about making these, ignore the neg feedback and try them. These would be perfect for a bake sale because they're big and preaty (but aren't we all?)

Bulgogi (Korean Barbecued Beef)

Reviewed: May 4, 2005
This is GREAT!!! I have never had anything like it, but I will make it again and again! I left out the MSG and addd a bit more soy. Hint #1; When I put the meat on the foil on the grill, I did not poor off the exrta liquid. I didn't think there was alot, but the meat ended up stewing in the juices. I used stir-fry beef, so the pieces were just big enough to lay across the grate, then cook on high flame just long enough to run in and get a clean plate. I served with a quick fried rice. Hint #2; You can buy the julienned carrots at the salad bar at the grocery store.

Barbeque Chicken

I would give this 10 stars, my hubby said it was better than Houstons! The first day I made this it rained so I barbequed the second night. I cooked the heck out of it and it was still great!

Amish Cinnamon Bread

This is really good. To cut the fat and the mentioned oily/dryness I replaced all the veggie oil with chunky applesause. Came out nice and moist and very tasty. Thanks Ginger!

Chocolate Chip Sourdough Muffins

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2005
Not too bad...not too good. My muffins were not dense at all, which surprised me, because I just dumped everythng in. Sourdough gives them a strong flavor, and I used a new started, but I guess this should be expected, after all it, is sourdough! Mini chips are a good idea.

English Royalty Chocolate Chip Scones

Reviewed: Apr. 27, 2005
I think you "knead" to use common sense where the liquid is concerned. I only added 1-2 T of o-juice and it was a tad sticky to pat out. But the extra juice really punched up the orange flavor, a bit too much in my oppinion. Next time, and there will be a next time, I will add milk for any extra liquid. I also used a glass to cut out the scones. They were light and a little crumbly Thanks, Holly, for a great recipe!

Soft, Moist and Gooey Cinnamon Buns

Reviewed: Apr. 22, 2005
These are great cinnamon rolls, better than my moms, but please don't tell her;) I don't have a bread machine, so I followed the suggestions on the back of the yeast packet, then mixied with my stand mixer. The dry pudding mix really makes the bread moist, even the next day and the next day if they last that long. My husband took a dozen of these to work, told 4 people, and they were gone in, like, 4 mins, litterally. All I have left to say is THANK YOU, TANIA

Layered Chicken and Black Bean Enchilada Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 12, 2005
Yummmm! This was so good! There were many steps, but mush easier than rolling enchiladas. My husband called this dish "Mexican Lasagne" and that is exactly what it looks like. Next time I'll use more tortillas and maybe add refried beans. Did I mention that this is verrry yummy?
