Honey Glazed Ham

Reviewed: Mar. 30, 2005
This recipe is wonderful, I made it for Easter and it was a big hit! I used the exact ingrediants, but modified the cooking method. Instead of baking, I put this in the slow cooker for 6 hours on low....turned out great!

Oat Bran Muffins

Reviewed: Jan. 24, 2005
These muffins are very moist, but didn't have a lot of flavour. However...knowing that bran is not exactly chocolate chip muffins...it puts it in perspective:-) I did not change the recipe itself. But I served these with cinnamon sugar and lite butter, which really livens them up. Thank you!

Eggnog Cookies I

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2005
These smelled great baking and were good. Next time I will cut the nutmeg in half though, very stong. I also think I'll take some other reviewer's advice and use more eggnog. Thanks!

Eggnog Quick Bread

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2005
As with other reviewers...I wanted to use up leftover eggnog and this is a fantastic way to use it up!!! This is really good stuff. I served it sliced & slighty toasted with vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce...very, very good! Thank you!

Slow Cooker Italian Beef for Sandwiches

Reviewed: Dec. 26, 2004
This was out of this world yummy!!! I made this for my open house Christmas Eve and there was a single spoonful worth of leftovers! I took advise from others and used the beef broth instead of water and used 2 packs of Italian dressing. I only had onion powder on hand, so I used onion powder along with substituting garlic salt in to get the salt content right. I did slice the roast a few hours into cooking to allow the flavours to soak through all of the meat...really turned out wonderful!!!

Pork Chops with Scalloped Potatoes

Reviewed: Dec. 9, 2004
I am glad I tried this, the pork chops came out VERY tender and the gravy was good too. Next time I will cut the amount of pepper way down, there was too much. The only thing I changed was the gravy, I added salt to my taste and also added enough water to get the gravy to be the consistancy that I like. Thanks for the recipe!

Tequila Shrimp

Reviewed: Dec. 7, 2004
I really liked this a lot! I wasn't sure how strong the Tequila taste would be, but have to say that it turned out great! Next time I make this I will follow the advice to use lime juice as well.

Slow Cooker Beef Stew I

Reviewed: Nov. 17, 2004
This stew was really good! I did make a few modifications to suit personal taste: I doubled the garlic and the Worcestershire sauce, added 1 cup of beer, an extra 2 teaspoons of fluor, & skipped the celery and onion. I will definitely be making this again:) Thank you!

Slow Cooker Chicken and Dumplings

Reviewed: Oct. 23, 2004
This sounded great as a base recipe, but needed some spices. I added 2 tsp. of poultry seasoning, 1 tsp of garlic salt, exchanged one of the cans of soup for broth, and added 1 cup of white wine. Also, I never miss a chance to throw carrots and potatoes into a slow cooked meal! Thank you for the recipe!

Shrimp Scampi Bake

Reviewed: Oct. 11, 2004
This would make a great starter! I chose to serve this over white rice as a dinner recipe. I used fresh pressed garlic and doubled the lemon juice. This is an awesome recipe! Thank you!

Roasted Pork Loin

Reviewed: Sep. 3, 2004
The seasonings for this were wonderful!!! I cooked this in a slow cooker instead - on low for 6 hours. I added cut up red potatoes and baby carrots to the pot - then covered with additional white wine and chicken broth.

House Fried Rice

Reviewed: Sep. 1, 2004
This is a GREAT way to use leftovers!! I had leftover yellow rice to use up, chicken, & pork roast (instead of using ham). Sesame oil is a must to really get the true flavor. I used half of the amount of soy sauce and 2 eggs, but that is just a matter of personal taste. Thanks for the awesome recipe!!

Garlic Stuffed Roast

Reviewed: Jul. 22, 2004
I followed some advice and also made this in the slow cooker - low for about 9 hours. I did use a larger cut of meat, so I added a can of beef broth as well. Very yummy! Thank you!

Quesadillas II

I love Quesadillas, so this is a welcome addition to my recipe box. I also added some garlic powder and a little chili powder as well to spice it up.

Sesame Lime Steak Wraps

Reviewed: Jun. 27, 2004
I would make this again without using the wrap, instead serving the meat over white rice. I think the wrap takes away from the Asian flavour. Also instead of boiling the marinade, I'm going to try some cornstarch to thicken it up quicker.

G's Flank Steak Marinade

Reviewed: Apr. 28, 2004
I used this on a London Broil and let it marinate for 24 hours. Very good...next time I'll use more garlic...but that is just a personal preference. You gotta try this!!! Thanks Tim!

Poppy Seed Poultry Casserole

Reviewed: Apr. 11, 2004
Great casserole, THANKS!!! I do like to spice things up, so I added some red pepper, garlic salt, paprika, and cut back on the dill. I used low fat sour cream and cream of chicken soup. Next time, I'll add a half a can more of the soup instead of the extra milk for more flavour. Thanks again!
