About this Cook
I cook because... I just love waiting for my creation to be done and hear everyones praises. My greatest cooking influence would have to be my Grandmother. Definitely.
My favorite things to cook
I love cooking white rice. But thats only because I used to cook instant rice all the time and never thought I could make real, homemade white rice. Its fairly easy, if you get the temperature just right once you set it. I also like simmering Italian meatballs in Mushroom Sauce and then mixing that with the white rice. With Green Beans.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Gramma makes tamales for almost every Christmas. So she'll call the family and try to get as many people as she can to help come make them. Not many come because they hate making the tamales. But of course, I help her. Along with my mother and occasionally my boyfriend. And few of my Aunts.
My cooking triumphs
I made 2 Cheesecakes this Thanksgiving and everybody loved them! I was so proud.
My cooking tragedies
I havent had too many tragedies, but when I was first starting to cook breakfast for my boyfriend, I never cooked bacon, because I hated the popping from the grease. But he asked me to make it for him. So I did. But I burned it to a black, stinking crisp. Haha! Im much better at bacon now.

Chocolate Banana Peanut Butter Shake
Oh my God... I love this shake! I just made it and it's delicious!! I didn't have any instant breakfast mix so I used Chocolate Syrup. And I used regular smooth Peanut Butter. Its sooooo Good! *drinks shake*

A Good Easy Garlic Chicken
I absolutely love you for posting this recipe. My boyfriend had found it awhile back because he was hungry and I wanted something easy to cook. The first time I made it, I did use a lot more than 3Tbs of butter and it did come out a little too dry. But after a few times of making it, I made a few changes. I use a little Extra Virgin Olive Oil (EVOO) instead, which is much less fattening than using all that butter. And also covering the pan while it cooks helps keep the moisture in.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Milkshake
Whoa... This was thick! I had even added 16 ice cubes by mistake and it still came out pretty thick. I'm thinking if you add a little more milk and more chocolate syrup, it might "numb" the thickness down. But if you absolutely looooove gulping down peanut butter, just stick with the original recipe.
